The following is adapted from an Internet email making the rounds. I have heard this joke over the years in a number of different languages with punchlines mocking diverse ethnic groups and various professionals such as lawyers and politicians. In almost all cases, although the butt of the joke is stereotyped, the argument put forth presents a truth about those being ridiculed.

Here for your enjoyment is a very short story that reveals a truth about the nature of Muslims living in civilized countries. And to be fair, not all Muslims, just most of them.

The Muslim and the The Haircut

One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut.

After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, "I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week." The florist was pleased and left the shop.

When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.

Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, "I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week." The cop was happy and left the shop.

The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door.

Then a Muslim came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill, the barber again replied, "I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week." The Muslim was very happy and left the shop.

The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen Muslims lined up waiting for a free haircut.

Pre-Existing Arab Stereotypes

In my article Reel Bad Arabs: How Hollywood Vilifies A People, I wrote that Hollywood did not invent the stereotypical evil Arab, that for over a thousand years Arab and Muslim behavior led to the common held European view that Arabs were bloodthirsty cut-throats who held slaves and massacred peoples.

I am writing this post here, away from my blog, in anticipation that some Muslim apologist, who did not read the book by Jack Shaheen, will accuse me of making excuses for Hollywood and its Jews.

The average Ahmed is taught in his school that what is holding back Arabs and Muslims are the Jews who control Hollywood and the American media. For this reason he will insist that it was not Europeans who created the world's negative view of Arabs and Muslims.

These gullible Muslims believe that all the bad things reported about Arabs and Muslims are Zionist lies and propaganda generated for the exclusive purpose of keeping the Arab in poverty and ignorance. The average Muslim does not know nor is he taught that the negative view of Arabs is a consequence of 1400 years of brutal wars of conquest, subjugation, and wholesale slaughter of unbelievers.

As hard as it is for modern civilized people to believe, there are Muslims today who will swear that Islam had nothing to do with the slave trade, that there is no slavery in Islam today. That one-quarter of the world is Muslim because they freely chose Islam as their religion, that Arab armies never subjugated a single country.

The truth of the matter is that Shaheen himself admits that the negative Arab stereotype was not invented by Americans but rather inherited from Europe.

It is not Hollywood or Jews who are perpetuating the myth of the stereotypical evil and barbaric Muslim, it is Muslims themselves. It is not the Jewish press that made this headline "EU decries 'barbaric' plans to stone Iranian woman."

The international crossfire over Iran's stoning sentence for a woman convicted of adultery intensified Tuesday with a top European Union official calling it "barbaric" and an Iranian spokesman saying it's about punishing a criminal and not a human rights issue.

So. Ahmed, don't look at the Jew as the cause of your miserable life, look at yourself.

Leftists Cannot Abide Criticism

Kate at the blog Small Dead Animals informs us that '[u]nder a recently-introduced bill, H.R. 1966, bloggers would face up to two years in prison if they “harass” public figures by criticizing them in a “severe, repeated, and hostile” manner, and thereby cause them “substantial emotional distress.”'.

But what public figures, I almost hesitate to call them morons, imbeciles, and tyrannical idiots, would introduce such legislation? Would you believe Liberals? The very same morons, imbeciles, and tyrannical idiots who railed against George Bush for destroying our freedoms through the Patriot Act. The bill's sponsor is idiot Linda Sanchez (D-CA) (almost all of her 14 co-sponsors are liberal idiots as well). I hope and pray that my calling her a complete moron causes her substantial emotional distress. In fact, I wish she would have a complete mental breakdown over this blog article. It's the least punishment she should get for even suggesting such a hobble on the freedom of speech. What country is she representing, Cuba, Venezuela?

Avoid Hiring Muslims

Unfortunately the United States still considers Islam a religion rather than a violent political organization so anti-discrimination laws may prevent you from overtly refusing to hire a Muslim candidate. The best bet is to avoid interviewing anyone who you suspect may be a Muslim. The reason is that once you have interviewed a Muslim and you don't give him or her a job, you are likely to get sued for religious discrimination (1).

There are many reasons not to hire Muslims; one of them is that Muslims like to apply for jobs their religion forbids them to do or for which they are not suited or qualified. Another is that it costs more to accommodate Muslims, a lot more: Five prayer times a day, wash basins, separate eating rooms, Muslim sensitivity training for non-Muslim employees, trying to find other work when they refuse to do the job which they were hired to do (2), etc.

The main reason not to hire Muslims is that you will encourage more to come to America. Imagine that you are a restaurant owner and you are stupid enough to hire Muslims. If enough idiots like you hire Muslims your community will have enough Muslims to cause the building of a Mosque. What's wrong with that? How about they try to put you out of business because your restaurant serves alcohol and you are too close to their mosque (3)?

While Jews have been in America since the founding of our country, you can't tell that they are here except for their great contributions to American culture. Muslims have only been coming in recently and already they want to change how WE live.

To prevent interviewing a Muslim, screen the resumes carefully to weed out possible problem candidates and if possible hire a private investigation firm. It's cheaper doing that than hiring a Muslim and reaping the losses from doing so. You are less likely to get sued for not hiring a Muslim if you don't actually talk to one.

To keep oneself in the least legal hot water, you are urged to consult a specialist in employment law before establishing a screening program or hiring anyone. If you do not want to hire Muslims do everything you can to avoid interviewing them. If it cannot be helped and you find yourself with an appointment with a fellow named Mahmud bin Azz, for example, as an added precaution try to have a photo of Yasser Arafat (autographed if you can fake it) behind you when conducting the interview. Hopefully when you turn down Mahmud for the job of bacon slicer he won't sue you for discrimination.

Islam in Action, UK Muslim Sues Supermarket Chain, Because he had to Handle Alcohol
A Muslim from Derby is suing supermarket giant Tesco for religious discrimination because he was asked to handle crates of alcohol against his beliefs.

Mohammed Ahmed, of Upper Dale Road, Normanton, also accused Tesco of victimisation and harassment during a three-day employment tribunal.

Mr Ahmed was employed as a warehouse operative, which included driving fork-lift trucks, at the firm's Lichfield warehouse in September last year.

The 32-year-old told the tribunal he was not made aware he would be required to handle alcohol when he started the job, a claim denied by Tesco.

"People may say 'we may not want to go to this mosque' if it's not a good environment," Sidiqqi said. "You want an area where you can bring your kids or your family."

Hill counters that mosque-goers are unlikely to be disturbed by noise or patrons from his restaurant. The entrances are on opposites sides of the two buildings, and Hill said that he has offered to work with mosque board members during the holy period of Ramadan, when Knoxville-area Muslims often pray at the mosque late into the night.

Hill feels he is being unjustly targeted.

"I've taken a building that's been a total eyesore … really gone out on a limb and taken a risk for the benefit of the Fort Sanders community," he said, explaining that he has a mortgage and roughly a $1 million investment in the building. "It's not fair for me to be discriminated against any more than it is for them to be discriminated against."

Appearing on Oprah Winfrey's TV show in 2001, Jordan's westernized Queen Rania claimed that women in Islam are equal to men, and that we in the West have serious misconceptions on the role of women in the Islamic world. At the time she said: "Islam views women as full and equal partners to men, so rights are guaranteed by Islam."

Islam views women as full and equal partners to men, so rights are guaranteed by Islam. Really?!?!? Does Her Majesty actually believe that, or does she wish to believe it? Is she just saying it because she is talking to a Western audience? How does one reconcile Queen Rania's statement with the sad reality of women's daily life in the Islamic world, or in the Islamic communities in the West?h How does one reconcile the Queen's words with the words of the Qur'an?

Following are a few passages from the Qur'an - from many such - on the status of women:

Surah 4:3

And if you fear that you cannot do justice to orphans, marry such women as seem good to you, two, or three, or four; but if you fear that you will not do justice, then (marry) only one or that which your right hand possesses. This is more proper that you may not do injustice. (Maulana Muhammad Ali translation)
If you fear that you cannot treat orphans with fairness, then you may marry other women who seem good to you: two, three or four of them. But if you fear that you cannot maintain equality among them, marry one only or any slave girl you may own. This will make it easier for you to avoid injustice. (N. J. Dawood translation)

Maulana Muhammad Ali, comments on the above:

3a. - This passage permits polygamy under certain conditions, it does not enjoin it.

It does not obligate the practice of polygamy, but it permits it. So a man, according to his means, may marry up to four wives... does this sound full and equal to you, gentle reader?!?!?

Sura 4:34

Men are the maintainers of women, with that Allah has made of them to excel others and with that they spend out their wealth. So the good women are obedient guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded. And (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the beds and chastise them. So if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Surely Allah is ever Exalted, Great. (Maulana Muhammad Ali translation)
Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because God has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience , admonish them and forsake them in their beds apart and beat them. Then if they obey, take no further action against them. Surely God is high, supreme. (N. J. Dawood translation)

Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other. With all due respect to Her Majesty, Queen Rania, that does not sound like Islam views women as full and equal partners to men. What do you think, gentle reader?

The word nushūz is translated above as desertion and as disobedience it refers to a woman withholding her conjugal services. While no husband would be pleased with such refusal, most husbands would desist but should such behavior persist they would divorce her. Islam allows the man to beat her in order to get her to submit. Sounds like rape to me!

In some Islamic countries (like Saudi Arabia) women may not drive, may not travel without permission from their husbands (or fathers, if they are not married). On what authority?

Sura 33:33

And stay in your houses and display not (your beauty) like the displaying of the ignorance of yore, and keep up prayer, and pay the poor rate, and obey Allah and his messenger. Allah only desires to take away uncleanness from you, O people of the household, and to purify you a (thorough) purifying. (Maulana Muhammad Ali translation)
Stay in your homes and do not display your finery as women used to do in the days of ignorance. Attend to your prayers, give alms and obey God and His apostle. Women of the Household, God seeks only to remove uncleanliness from you and to purify you. (N. J. Dawood translation)

Although the above admonitions were meant for Muhammad's wifes, the above verse came to be interpreted as referring to all women. Do you still think, gentle reader, that women in Islam are full and equal partners to men?

How does one explain the video below then?

In all fairness violence against women has all too often reared its ugly face throughout the West, and was/is being perpetrated by westerners. The difference is that unlike those in Islam the cowards who engage in violent behavior against women can find neither find a shield behind their culture nor behind a religion. The difference lies in the fact that in European countries the incidence of violence against women has risen geometrically in proportion to the percentage of Muslim immigrants. In Australia Sheikh Al-Hillaly described western women as "uncovered meat" and, therefore, as the guilty ones when raped by Muslim. Such misogynistic attitudes have no place in the west, or anywhere else, in this the 21st century!

There is nothing honorable about "honor killings" and no western culture, no western religion offers refuge or justification for such an act. To the west it not an honorable act, rather a case of despicable murder. Yet, honor killings are prevalent throughout Muslim lands and spreading fast into Islamic communities in the West. In Queen Rania's own kingdom, which averages 20 honor killings a year, they just had the 8th one this year:

Jordan's Criminal Court has charged a 19-year-old man with stabbing to death his sister in what is believed to be an honor killing.

Judge Jihad al-Dridi charged the man Monday with premeditated murder and the possession of a dangerous weapon.

Al-Dridi said the man confessed to repeatedly stabbing his 22-year-old sister to cleanse the family honor because she left the house too often.

The victim is the eighth person to be killed in honor crimes this year.

About 20 women are killed annually in Jordan by male relatives. The conservative society tolerates the killings and perpetrators often receive light sentences.

The name of the man and the victim were not revealed due to the sensitivity of the case.

In 2002 the United Nations Development Programme published a report which covered most of the Muslim world. It was conducted by Arab and Muslim academics of both genders. The report points to the mistreatment of women as one of the reasons for the poverty and backwardness of Muslim lands.

I have no doubt that Jordan's King Abdullah and Queen Rania have a loving marriage, I have no doubt they show mutual respect. I need look no further than my next door neighbors, he's a college professor and former Palestinian terrorist (who was jailed by the Israelis, but became disillusioned by the Palestinian leadership and their greed, after he was freed), she's a Southern girl whose father was a proud member of the KKK. She never met a Jew, let alone a Muslim, until she went to college but she grew up hating anyone who was not white and Christian. Today she is a proud Muslima.

The three of us have breakfast, together, almost everyday morning. They have the key to my place and I to theirs. She wears a hijab, not a niqqab, they have a loving marriage founded on mutual respect. I do not mean to accuse every Muslim of mistreating his wife, I merely point out the cultural/religious sources for the treatment of women by some Islamist elements.

The Islamist World View - Part I

Violence is by no means the monopoly of Islamists. A simple perusal of history will convince anyone, with an open mind, that some of the greatest crimes against mankind were committed "in the name of God." All too often, the added authority of a deity has become the stamp of approval needed to carry out whatever political agenda the leader(s), invoking the divine, wished to push through to further their own ambitions. Most other religions have evolved to the point where indiscriminate killing is absolutely unacceptable. No priest of any Christian denomination would think of openly preaching the killing of non Christians. While humans are just that, flawed and all too often prejudiced, these preachings would result in the immediate dismissal of any priest, pastor, minister who would present those ideas to his congregation. No Rabbi, regardless of denomination would think of preaching the killing of Muslims, Christians or anyone else. Killing anyone because of creed, color, or ethnicity is simple and unadulterated murder. Such preachings would end with the one pronouncing them to be run out of the community in ignominy, as they would represent a direct contradiction to the 6th Commandment: Do Not murder. And yet... so many imams, so many Muslim clerics seem to have an acute case of infidel-o-phobia!

The overwhelming majority of those who practice Islam are law abiding citizens with the same struggles and the same aspirations as the rest of us. But... all the major terrorists and terror organizations throughout the world are professed Muslims! Why? What is the cultural core behind such a phenomenon? What is the divine source they cite as justification for their actions? Every single one of these individuals, every single one of these organizations claims they are merely following the Qur'an.

The Qur'an is the record of the revelations Muhammad received from Allah, through the angel Jibreel (Gabriel). These revelations change in tone from the Prophet's early times in Mecca to the time he fled to Meddina. The revelations in Mecca were more conciliatory in nature, but after he started building a military force in Meddina they became more hostile towards anyone who would oppose him, anyone who refused to submit. This contradictions are explained away by saying that later revelations supersede the earlier ones...

As you will see, in the video below, well known Mullah Amjun Chaudry has no problem justifying violence against infidels on British TV:

Sura II:75

Do you then hope that they would believe in you, and a party from among them indeed used to hear the word of Allah, then altered it after they had understood it, and they know (this). (Maulana Muhammad Ali translation)
Do you then hope that they will believe in you, when some of them have already heard the Word of God and knowingly perverted it, although they understood its meaning. (N. J. Dawood translation)

Maulana Muhammad Ali, comments on this verse:

75a. - That the Israelites did not preserve their sacred books in their purity is a constant charge laid by the Holy Qur'an against the Jews. In fact, the alteration and corruption of the various books of the Bible is now proved beyond all doubt; see 79a

79a. - The alteration and corruption of the Bible, the Old as well as the New Testament, spoken of in verse 75 and repeated here, is now an established fact...

It is an established fact that those perfidious Jooz and their Christian friends corrupted both Testaments?!?!? How do we know this?

Sura II:79

Woe! then to those who write the Book with their hands then say, This is from Allah; so that they may take it all for a small price. So woe! to them for what their hands write and woe! to them for what the yearn. (Maulana Muhammad Ali translation)
Woe betide those that write the scriptures with their own hands and then declare: 'This is from God,' in order to gain some paltry end. Woeful shall be their fate, because of what their hands have written, because of what they did.(N. J. Dawood translation)

Ah yes, foolish me. Definitely proven beyond the shadow of a doubt! Don't you agree, gentle reader? Now what passages were altered by the Jews and the Christians?

Sura II:140

Or do you say that Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes were Jews or Christians? Say do you know better or Allah? And who is more unjust than he who conceals a testimony that he has from Allah? And Allah is not heedless of what you do. (Maulana Muhammad Ali translation)
Do you claim that Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes were all Jews or Christians? Say: 'Who knows better, you or God? Who is more wicked than the man who hides a testimony he has received from God? God is never heedless of what you do."(N. J. Dawood translation)

In his comment and explanation to the above verse, Maulana Ali proves how little he knows or underrstands Judaism:

140a. -The interrogation here is simply to reprove the Jews and the Christians, the Jewish claim was that only acceptance of the Jewish law could save man, and the Christians claimed that none could be saved unless he accepted the atonement of Jesus. they are told that their ancestors who were prophets were the followers of neither the one nor the other. Islam was, in fact, a reversion to the simple faith of sincerity, the faith of Abraham and his immediate followers and descendants.

So the Jews and Christians not only perverted the earlier teachings but are, as a result, simply wrong, Islam is their only hope... I see and I can understand the reason why Allah requires mere humans to redeem his honor. Boyyy! Were we People of the Book wrong! Don't you feel enlightened and liberated, gentle reader, now that the truth has been revealed? Oh, what will it take for us - infidels - to understand that Islam really came before both Judaism and Christianity in spite of historical evidence of thousands of years to the contrary?!?!?

In spite of this being the second chapter of the Qur'an, it's revelations were from Meddina and they supersede anything that was said about the People of the Book in Mecca, even though Mecca's revelations may appear in later chapters. By quoting chapter and verse (and showing the original Arabic text) from the Qur'an, by showing one of the Mullahs justifying whatever Muslims may inflict on non Muslims... have I become guilty of disrespecting Islam? Getting Rid of Anal Leakage and Muslim Immigration

It starts off innocently enough, You are sniffling and sneezing so you decide to take W (I don't want to mention brand names of medicines that might label my post as spam), which contains Pseudo-ephedrine. You get rid of the sniffles, but unfortunately one of the side effects is insomnia. So for insomnia you take Y, a popular Sedative-hypnotic, which helps you sleep, but your face becomes swollen and you develop a skin rash.

So for the skin rash you apply some Z, a Hydro-cortisone Lotion, to the affected area, but that puts you into a state of excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis), so you take an anticholinergics drug which raises your blood pressure too high which you ameliorate with X, an Orlistat, which has the interesting property of rendering you fecally incontinent. The other name for fecal incontinence is anal leakage. You stand around minding your own business when all of a sudden you feel an oily, uncontrollable stool-stream passing through your impotent anal sphincter.

So that's how it happens, in small, barely perceptible stages if you are not careful: you start with a simple cold and you end up with brown stains in your underwear.

Indoctrination and Training Camps - Islamicizing the West

The new US President, Barack Obama, hit the ground running. He wasted no timein making his first phone to a foreign dignitary, it was to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas; his first major interview as the American President was on an Arab TV network; in spite of the UN preparing itself to try the murderers of Lebanon's Rafik Hariri, Obama dispatched Senator Kerry to woo Syria's Baby Assad and try to tear him away from under Iran's wings (fat chance!). In a few days, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be in Cairo where she will announce a $900,000,000 grant to help Gazans rebuild (under the aegis of Hamas, perhaps with the help of Mahmoud Abbas... if Hamas comes to some convenient temporary agreement with him!). At the same time, we in the US under Obama's direction are ready to import thousands of Gazans to our shores and give them a chance for a better life (even if that means turning to terror and/or preaching hatred of all things American.

Yet, the British daily Telegraph reports:

CIA warns Barack Obama that British terrorists are the biggest threat to the US

American spy chiefs have told the President that the CIA has launched a vast spying operation in the UK to prevent a repeat of the 9/11 attacks being launched from Britain.

They believe that a British-born Pakistani extremist entering the US under the visa waiver programme is the most likely source of another terrorist spectacular on American soil.

Intelligence briefings for Mr Obama have detailed a dramatic escalation in American espionage in Britain, where the CIA has recruited record numbers of informants in the Pakistani community to monitor the 2,000 terrorist suspects identified by MI5, the British security service.

A British intelligence source revealed that a staggering four out of 10 CIA operations designed to thwart direct attacks on the US are now conducted against targets in Britain.

And a former CIA officer who has advised Mr Obama told The Sunday Telegraph that the CIA has stepped up its efforts in the last month after the Mumbai massacre laid bare the threat from Lashkar-e-Taiba, the militant group behind the attacks, which has an extensive web of supporters in the UK.

The CIA has already spent 18 months developing a network of agents in Britain to combat al-Qaeda, unprecedented in size within the borders of such a close ally, according to intelligence sources in both London and Washington.

Bruce Riedel, a former CIA officer who has advised Mr Obama, told The Sunday Telegraph: "The British Pakistani community is recognised as probably al-Qaeda's best mechanism for launching an attack against North America.

"The American security establishment believes that danger continues and there's very intimate cooperation between our security services to monitor that." Mr Riedel, who served three presidents as a Middle East expert on the White House National Security Council, added: "President Obama's national security team are well aware that this is a serious threat."

The British official said: "The Americans run their own assets in the Pakistani community; they get their own intelligence. There's close cooperation with MI5 but they don't tell us the names of all their sources.

"Around 40 per cent of CIA activity on homeland threats is now in the UK. This is quite unprecedented."

Explaining the increase in CIA activity over the past month, Mr Riedel added: "In the aftermath of the Mumbai attack the US and the UK intelligence services now have to regard Lashkar-e-Taiba as just as serious a threat to both of our countries as al-Qaeda. They have a much more extensive base among Pakistani Diaspora communities in the UK than al–Qaeda."

Information gleaned by CIA spies in Britain has already helped thwart several terrorist attacks in the UK and was instrumental in locating Rashid Rauf, a British-born al-Qaeda operative implicated in a plot to explode airliners over the Atlantic, who was tracked down and killed in a US missile strike in November.

But some US intelligence officers are irritated that valuable manpower and resources have been diverted to the UK. One former intelligence officer who does contract work for the CIA dismissed Britain as a "swamp" of jihadis.

Jonathan Evans, the director general of MI5, admitted in January that the Security Service alone does not have the resources to maintain surveillance on all its targets. "We don't have anything approaching comprehensive coverage," he said.

The dramatic escalation in CIA activity in the UK followed the exposure in August 2006 of Operation Overt, the alleged airline bomb plot.

The British intelligence official revealed that CIA chiefs sent more resources to the UK because they were not prepared to see American citizens die as a result of MI5's inability to keep tabs on all suspects, even though the Security Service successfully uncovered the plot.

Meanwhile, what does Britain do about this cancer within? How does it deal with the threat? Last Friday's Friday's Daily Mail reported:

Pupils as young as 11 are being encouraged to imagine the July 7 bombings from the perspective of the terrorists as part of citizenship lessons promoted by the Government.

Secondary schools are urged to set the exercise by a lesson pack showcased on an official website for teachers.

However after being alerted to the material last night, ministers admitted it was ‘misguided and inappropriate’ and said it would be withdrawn immediately from the Government’s Teachernet website.

Schools in areas including Calderdale in West Yorkshire, Birmingham, Sandwell and Lancashire are said to be using the material.

Several police forces are also said to have adopted it as part of programmes to promote community cohesion.

A section in the lesson pack deals directly with the July 7 bombings of 2005 in which 52 London commuters were killed and 700 people injured.

A suggested group exercise requires pupils to ‘prepare a brief presentation on the 7/7 bombings from the perspective of the bombers’. They are also asked to summarise the ‘reasons ... for the actions of the London bombers’.

The suggestion that children should be asked to empathise with the bombers caused concern among heads last night.

Chris McGovern, a headmaster and director of History Curriculum Association, said: ‘In my view, this is extremely dangerous. Asking pupils to empathise with terrorists may lead to sympathy, and sympathy begins to lead to justification.

‘You begin to glamorise it – it’s disastrous.

‘This shows how out of touch the education establishment is with the rest of society.’

The teaching pack, for pupils aged 11 to 19, was developed by the council in Calderdale. Three of the 7/7 bombers came from the West Yorkshire area.

It is used in West Yorkshire madrassas and mosques, the Times Educational Supplement reported.

It had also been adopted by the Department for Children, Schools and Families as part of an online ‘toolkit’ to help teachers tackle extremism.

Last night a spokesman for the DCSF said ministers had decided to withdraw the material from the Teachernet site ‘as they believe it to be misguided and inappropriate’.

He said: ‘It’s important young people discuss these difficult and controversial issues in a controlled environment but, in this case, ministers apologise for any offence caused.’

Don Rowe, of the Citizenship Foundation, said he doubted if many teachers would wish to broach the ‘complicated’ issue.

‘I certainly wouldn’t expect anyone who wasn’t confident in this area to barge in with this sort of material,’ he said.

Explaining the materials, Sail Suleman, Calderdale’s hate crime co-ordinator and author of the pack, said: ‘Why do young people go out and do what the bombers did? Was it pressure from individuals they were hanging out with?

‘Hopefully, we’ll encourage pupils to stay away from those individuals.’

Some Islamic schools are promoting fundamentalist views and encouraging children to despise Western society, a report warns.

An investigation by the Civitas social policy think-tank found websites of some of the UK’s 166 Muslim schools are spreading extreme teachings, while a handful had links to sites promoting jihad, or holy war.

Examples include web forums forbidding Muslims from reading Harry Potter books, playing chess or cricket and listening to Western music.

The Civitas report, entitled Music, Chess and Other Sins, claims Ofsted inspectors are incapable of scrutinising Muslim faith schools properly, and demands an inquiry by MPs.

Many of the websites featured in the report were shut down or edited in the hours before it was published.

Islamic schools educate thousands of Muslim children. Most operate in the private sector although increasing numbers are seeking state funding.

I raised five kids who attended private Jewish religious schools and grew up to be successful professionals with families of their own. While I would not have minded some property tax relief , it never occurred to me or any parents I knew, or to any member of the schools' administrations to seek government funding. It would have been unfair, to say the least, and against separation of Church and state. None of the schools ever taught my kids and now their kids to despise Western society either. They are well integrated, and while proudly Jewish, they are are first and foremost Americans! By the way, you can believe when I tell that more than once my wife and I had to forego or at least compromise on some vacation and many other plans or paying for the schools would have been very hard, if not impossible. So why did we do it? We felt it was important for our children! Do these Muslim parents not feel it is important enough to sacrifice for their children? Or are their children to be raised as sacrifices to Allah, at taxpayers expense?!?!?!?

In a clear signal of their true spirit of dhimmitude, the European Court of Human Rights has awarded £2,500 to al-Qaeda’s European envoy:

HATE preacher Abu Qatada was today awarded £2,500 compensation after judges ruled his detention without trial in the UK breached his human rights.

Yesterday Qatada— dubbed al-Qaeda’s European envoy — lost the latest round of his UK legal battle to stay in Britain.

But 24 hours later he won a separate case in the European Court of Human Rights that his detention violated the Human Rights Convention.

Earlier this month, she banned the far-Right Dutch MP Geert Wilders from coming to Britain to show his film about Islam as it would threaten 'community harmony'.

But the Conservatives warned that to ban those who threaten community harmony, while letting in those who glorify terrorism or are part of terrorist groups, would send out the 'wrong message'.

There must be 'no double standards on extremists', warned Tory security spokesman Baroness Neville-Jones.

Moussawi, who has already made at least two trips to the UK, has been invited to speak on political Islam at the School of Oriental and African Studies next month.

Editor for the newspaper of Lebanon-based terrorist organisation Hezbollah, he is a former political editor of the Iranian-backed group's TV station, which is banned in many countries including France, Spain and the U.S, as its output is seen as anti-Semitic.

Despite his background he has twice been allowed to speak publicly in Britain by the Home Office, once in December 2007 and again in February 2008.

Yesterday, in a letter to Miss Smith, Baroness Neville-Jones said: 'You will be aware that Mr Moussawi has links to Hezbollah, which is a proscribed terrorist organisation in many countries.

'Mr Moussawi has also, over the years, made a number of remarks that are extremist, anti-Semitic and inflammatory. In October last year you introduced what you described as "tough new measures" to deny entry to extremists.

'These measures included "creating a presumption in favour of exclusion in respect of all those who have engaged in fostering, encouraging or spreading extremism and hatred". Mr Moussawi has so engaged.

'In line with your "tough new measures", I trust that if Mr Moussawi applies for entry, you will use your powers to exclude him.'

Home Office sources said Moussawi's visa application had not yet been received, but would be studied closely.

A spokesman said: 'The Government opposes extremism in all its forms. We are determined to prevent individuals coming to the UK who want to spread extremism or hatred in our communities.

'Exclusion decisions are based on hard evidence not hearsay, and are targeted at those who seek to stir up tension and provoke others to violence regardless of their origins and beliefs.'

The problem of children's indoctrination, however, is not merely a British problem, such practices to some degree or another are slowly being introduced throughout Europe and in the US, (aside from that .pdf document in the last link, you can also see a different report here) in the interest of multiculturalism Islamic indoctrination. Over at Islam in Europe, you can watch a BBC show on Islamic extremists in Britain, other videos give a far, far, worse picture of the stark new reality...

Lest you think that whatever may be happening over in the UK and elsewhere in Europe is merely a European problem perhaps much smaller over here on our shores, let me disabuse you of such mistaken notions. It's happening right here, among us, in some city near you!

The question, therefore, remains... shall we sit quietly by and acquiesce? Shall we occasionally throw a piece or two to this crocodile hoping we'll be the last to be swallowed up?!?!?

For multiculturalism to succeed, all sides must be interested and open to each other, the moment one side uses multiculturalism to weaken the other, multiculturalism is not only bound to fail, but will result in the destruction of the Western way of life. The Muslim oversensitivity to any perceived insult is in directly inverse proportion to how much hate Muslims themselves are willing to display for others.

If you go by Muslim standards, removing a man wearing a t-shirt with Arabic words off a plane is an unacceptable display of Islamophobia, but banning an Israeli tennis player from Dubai is completely legitimate.

Drawing cartoons of Mohammed as a terrorist is not acceptable, but calling for the deaths of the cartoonists is. Writing a book parodying Islam is unacceptable, but murdering the book’s translators around the world is reasonable.

Israeli checkpoints on the Gaza border are unacceptable examples of apartheid, but Saudi Arabia barring all non-Muslims from entering the city of Mecca or from holding Saudi citizenship– is their right.

Obviously “apartheid’ is an epithet to be thrown only at the Jewish Zionist Entity, if for no other reason than to subliminally make you think of the word NAZI. great way to dem Jooz‘ goat, ain’t it?

A protest against Hamas and Al Queda that desecrates their flags, which have verses from the Koran on them, is unacceptable offensive to Muslims– but Muslim student associations waving those same flags is something that no one may question.

A Muslim “refugee” who is arrested for illegally entering a European country is being imprisoned solely out of “Islamophobia”, as are the terrorists held in Guantanamo Bay– but Westerners who enter a Muslim country lose all rights and may be imprisoned, tortured and flogged on the flimsiest of allegations from a Muslim.

Western countries expecting that a Muslim woman remove her Hijab for an ID photo is Islamophobia. However Muslim countries have the right to demand that even the House Speaker and First Lady cover up their hair when visiting a Muslim country.

Isn’t that a fair price to pay for the success of multiculturalism in the West?

When a Muslim man has woman’s underwear put on his head, while detaining for trying to kill American soldiers, that is the vilest crime against humanity. However when Muslim men hang and flog women for adultery… that is their culture and we have no right to judge. Not unless we’re Islamophobes, that is.

Muslim paranoid fears of Western culture can legitimately express themselves in banning magazines, Valentine’s day celebrations and movies. However any Western resistance to the Koran or Arabic is a clear sign of Islamophobia.

A Koran in a toilet is a hate crime. However burning the contents of the Library of Alexandria because “if it’s not in the Koran, it’s superfluous”, is a legitimate expression of Muslim views on non-Muslim literature.

Prejudice against Muslims is unacceptable. But Muslim prejudices against women, Jews, Christians, gays, Buddhists, Zoroastrians, Atheists, and just about everyone else– are part of their culture. And who are we to judge if they feel they have a right to hate and kill anyone who isn’t a Muslim male.

They cry “Islamophobia” and they even get a compliant, submissive, UN to declare it a crime. All the while their own Infidel-o-phobia and their own despicable misoginy is far worse than any real or perceived islamophobia… but neither the United Nations, nor any human rights organizations, nor even any feminist groups have been heard making any sound to protest the all too obvious prejudices lurking in the hearts of IslamoFascists!

The problem with all of these examples is that Muslims want to have it both ways. On the one hand they want a blank check that allows them to treat any negative feedback as Islamophobia. On the other hand they want to be able to express any degree and form of hatred for others and support for terrorism in public forums without any repercussions.

What Muslims really want is Political Correctness for us, and none for them. They want a chain around our necks with the leash in their hand, while the other hand waves a Hizbollah flag. And that can’t work.

If Danish cartoonist can’t draw Mohammed, then Muslim protesters should at the very least be unable to call for the murder of their political opponents. If Christian pastors are to be censored for denouncing Islam, then the Finsbury Park Mosque rabble should be too.

What the multiculturals fail to perceive is that there is no give and take. Islam (in its current form) has no interest in sharing the planet with the infidels. To that end, it will use the infidels’ own laws and institutions to destroy it and turn the world into an Islamic empire. The Muslim Brotherhood makes no secret of such a plan, so many of its offshoots around the world make no secret of such a plan and yet the multicultural crowd foolishly believes that by bending over backwards they are bound to inspire love. They will, but it certainly won’t the kind of love, they crave for…

The Canadian Arab Federation decided to host pro-Hamas articles on its site, to push for airing Al Jazeera in Canada, to participate in openly terrorist rallies and then respond to criticism by insulting the Immigration Minister. But naturally the consequences of all that only came due because of Islamophobia.

Muslims have gotten too comfortable sweeping a lot under the rug by crying Islamophobia. But that implies that they actually wish to be part of a tolerant multicultural society, where everyone’s rights are respected. By their actions and agendas however, that is not the society they wish to be a part of. Neither in Ridyah, Tehran, Gaza, Karachi or London, Paris and Detroit.

It is up to Muslims themselves to decide what role they wish to play abroad and in the global culture. They can be intolerant fanatics who stay at home and expect everyone else to stay at home too. Or they can be open and tolerant enough to live side by side with others. But they can’t be intolerant fanatics who expect us to be tolerant and open toward their fanatical intolerance. Not on our dime.

That is the problem, and it is a Gordian Knot that Muslims can either try to untie themselves, or someone will wind up cutting through it for them.

Every ethnic group, every religious group that ever came to the West, while keeping its major customs and traditional values, managed to successfully integrate into the host society. That is… all except one which refuses to integrate, all except one who aims to take take over and convert or destroy every infidel as they slowly and efficiently subvert western rule of law… The time has come when we must make these pigs understand unequivocally, that in spite of their illusions of grandeur, they are NOT more equal but… they are merely behaving like PIGS!!!!

The Speech Never Given in the UK by Geert Wilders

Europe is currently suffering through a plague - the disease? Bendurnea (prounounced bend-your-knee-a). Bendurnea is a medical condition that slowly eats away at one's spine in the face of Muslim threats which in turn causes the body to lean precipitously forward until the knees can no longer support the weight of the collective guilt of being intolerant toward a religion causing them to buckle under the pressure. The end-stage of Bendurnea disease is the complete failure of the knees to hold the body up and one is forced to spend the rest of one's life in a position of supplication and humiliating submission.

The manifestation of this dread illness was displayed symptomatically a few days ago in the UK when Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders, who was invited to deliver a speech and show his film Fitna at the House of Lords on 12 Feb 2009 was instead detained by UK immigration officials at London Heathrow airport and sent back to the Netherlands because he was deemed a risk to "public security."

UK Honor Killings

Whenever I make fun of Muslim violence and Islamic bombings, some Muslim always responds with some excuse that they happen to live peaceful lives, that they don't blow up buses filled with schoolchildren, nor are they stoned or killed for not wearing the hijab. Usually these peaceful, liberated Muslims live in Western countries and think that because they haven't yet been killed for taking on western ways that Muslim life must truly be just as they are living it.

For example, reader Saara, a Muslim female, commenting on my post Muslim Humor - Muslim Jokes left this comment:

OMG whats goin on here?? Im 15 years old and im more mature than all of you !! God Sake forget all the rascim and grow up ! i know there are so many muslims out there bombing people and i totally disagree with that but you have got to remember its not all muslims !! Im a muslim and i would never think to bomb people. And in my family women are equal to men, we have jobs we go out we have a life , we don`t be locked inside our houses and we are not forced to cover ourselves up. A Year of Accomplishment

As we prepare for the holiday season, it’s hard to believe that 2008 has nearly come and gone already. Less than 14 months ago we launched ACT! for America, and we now have close to 50,000 members and nearly 230 local chapters.

I believe that, years from now, historians and political scientists studying the radical Islamist threat to America during the early 21st century will ask themselves this question: Why didn’t America follow in the path of Europe and Great Britain? Why didn’t America become like “Eurabia?”

And when they do, they will find the answer by looking at ACT! for America. They will look at this organization, founded in 2007, and when they chart its growth they will see how ACT! for America successfully pushed back against the Islamofascist threat.

As the ancient proverb says, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Well, in charting our growth for this year it’s undeniable that together we took a BIG step forward towards the completion of that very important journey.
In January we launched a petition and legislator-contact effort to help get “Rachel’s Law” passed in the New York state legislature. You may recall “Rachel’s Law” was introduced to protect New York authors from intimidation lawsuits filed against them in foreign jurisdictions. Thousands of you signed the petition and/or contacted New York legislators, and in late March the bill passed and was signed into law. The momentum from this victory led to the introduction of similar legislation, entitled “The Free Speech Protection Act,” in the U.S. Congress.

Also in January we posted, for the first time, a listing of our local chapters on our website. By late summer we more than doubled the number of active chapters listed on our website.

In April we commissioned a nationwide scientific poll, part of the “120 day plan,” to test voter opinion of numerous issues related to the threat of radical Islam. This random sample survey of 800 registered voters revealed that as many as 89% of American voters agree with our concerns about issues such as preventing the spread of shariah-compliant financing and de-funding terrorism. To our knowledge many of these questions have never been asked in such an opinion poll, and we have been able to use the results to better shape our legislative agenda and our educational outreach.

In the spring, with the help of the erstwhile leadership of former board member Jerry Gordon and our colleague Joseph Shahda, some key terrorist websites were taken offline by their American internet service providers. Later in the year this “dynamic duo,” working closely with the staff of Senator Joe Lieberman, helped bring about a new policy at Google/YouTube, which will no longer allow the posting of videos depicting terrorist acts perpetrated against Americans.

In March news stories reported that a charter school in Minnesota, the Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy (TiZA), appeared to be engaging in impermissible promotion of Islam at its taxpayer-funded school. Through email alerts, the actions of our central Minnesota chapter, and other efforts aimed at the Minnesota Department of Education, we called on the Department to take action. It did, launching an investigation of the school. The investigation resulted in the Department of Education issuing two citations to the school for violations of law.

In May we launched our “PC (Politically Correct) Outrage of the Month” award, where we highlight a particularly noteworthy politically correct treatment of Islam.

In June we launched a nationwide petition calling on Congress to convene hearings to review extremist materials that have been found in American mosques, a petition we will present to the new Congress in early 2009.

In early August we learned that a Tennessee Tyson Foods plant had negotiated a labor contract with its employees that removed Labor Day as a paid holiday and replaced it with Eid al-Fitr, the Islamic holiday closing the month of Ramadan. In response to an email action alert we sent out, countless ACT! for America members called and emailed Tyson Foods to object to this action. Three days later Tyson Foods issued a press release reinstating Labor Day as one of its paid holidays and removing Eid al-Fitr as a required paid holiday for all employees.

In early September we unveiled our first “congressional scorecard.” This scorecard tracked nearly 50 votes on key issues in the U.S. House and Senate going back to 2003. With a few clicks of a mouse anyone was now able to find out how any U.S. House or Senate member voted on legislation and amendments relating to national security and Islamic terrorism.

Also in September we held our first “Citizens in Action” training conference in Chino Hills, California, with nearly 200 people in attendance. As one attendee put it: “This was truly THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENT I have ever attended.”

In October we unveiled the ACT! for America 2008 Voter Guide. This voter guide effort was unprecedented in that we sought the positions of over 1,100 candidates for President, U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate on issues, such as Islamic shariah law and shariah-compliant financing, that have never been publicly debated in the halls of our national government.

My new book, They Must Be Stopped: Why We Must Defeat Radical Islam and How We Can Do It, released in early September and made the New York Times bestseller list in eight days. In the last two chapters ACT! for America is profiled as the centerpiece for an aggressive call to action to our nation.

Just this month we launched a project that takes direct aim at the infiltration of shariah-compliant finance into our society. On the heels of the recent financial crisis on Wall Street, shariah-compliant finance poses an immediate and extremely serious threat to our economic well-being and our freedoms. You will hear a great deal about this effort in the weeks and months to come.
As you can see, we’ve had a very busy and very productive first full year – and this list only hits the high points of our projects, activities and accomplishments.

So I want to thank you for all you did to help make all of this possible. When you forwarded one of our emails, or made a contribution, or contacted a chapter leader, or took action on one of our action alerts, you helped move us forward. You helped make these accomplishments possible. We are steadily growing, and our collective voice is getting stronger and harder for politicians to ignore.

In 2008 we won some victories, but this is only the beginning. Our journey has begun, but we’ve only taken the first step. When we immigrated from Jerusalem, Jordan* in January, 1967, little did I imagine that Islam would become center-stage in world news. As my sincere interest in the growth of Islam in America intensified, I began to discuss, dialogue, and then debate Muslim leaders throughout the world from an Arab Christian's view of Islam. So far, I have had the privilege of participating in over 20 debates and discussions on every continent plus T.V. and radio. "Islam Revealed" was released in 1988 and is now in its 8th printing. The True Furqan is now in its third printing in the three years it has been published. It is the only book which challenges the Quran in substance, style, language and contents. This is my analysis of the Islamic invasion of America, the agenda of Islamists and visible methods to take over America by the year 2020! Will Americans continue to sleep through this invasion as they did when we were attacked on 9/11?

1. Terminate America's freedom of speech by replacing it with hate crime bills state-wide and nation-wide.

2. Wage a war of words using black leaders like Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Jesse Jackson and other visible religious personalities to promote Islam as the original African-American's religion while Christianity is for the whites! Strange enough, no one tells the African-Americans that it was the Arab Muslims who captured them and sold them as slaves, neither the fact that in Arabic the word for black and slave is the same, "Abed."

3. Engage the American public in dialogues, discussions, debates in colleges, universities, public libraries, radio, TV, churches and mosques on the virtues of Islam. Proclaim how it is historically another religion like Judaism and Christianity with the same monotheistic faith.

4. Nominate Muslim sympathizers to political office for favorable legislation to Islam and support potential sympathizers by block voting.

5. Take control of as much of Hollywood, the press, TV, radio and the internet by buying the corporations or a controlling stock.

6. Yield to the fear of imminent shut-off of the lifeblood of America - the black gold. America's economy depends on oil, (1000 products are derived from oil), so does its personal and industrial transportation and manufacturing -41% comes from the Middle East.

7. Yell, "foul, out-of-context, personal interpretation, hate crime, Zionist, un- American, inaccurate interpretation of the Quran" anytime Islam is criticized or the Quran is analyzed in the public arena.

8. Encourage Muslims to penetrate the White House, specifically with Islamists who can articulate a marvelous and peaceful picture of Islam. Acquire government positions, get membership in local school boards. Train Muslims as medical doctors to dominate the medical field, research and pharmaceutical companies. Take over the computer industry. Establish Middle Eastern restaurants throughout the U.S. to connect planners of Islamization in a discreet way. Ever notice how numerous Muslim doctors in America are, when their countries need them more desperately than America?

9. Accelerate Islamic demographic growth via:

a. Massive immigration (100,000 annually since 1961)

b. No birth control whatsoever - every baby of Muslim parents is automatically a Muslim and cannot choose another religion later.

c. Muslim men must marry American women and Islamize them (10,000 annually). Then divorce them and remarry every five years - since one cannot have the Muslim legal permission to marry four at one time. This is a legal solution in America.

d. Convert angry, alienated black inmates and turn them into militants (so far 2000 released inmates have joined Al Qaida world-wide). Only a few have been captured in Afghanistan and on American soil. So far - sleeping cells!

10. Reading, writing, arithmetic and research through the American educational system, mosques and student centers (now 1500) should be sprinkled with dislike of Jews, evangelical Christians and democracy. There are 300 exclusively Muslim schools with loyalty to the Quran, not the U.S. Constitution.

11. Provide very sizeable monetary Muslim grants to colleges and universities in America to establish "Centers for Islamic studies" with Muslim directors to promote Islam in higher education institutions.

12. Let the entire world know through propaganda, speeches, seminars, local and national media that terrorists have hijacked Islam, not the truth, which is Islam hijacked the terrorists. Furthermore in January of 2002, Saudi Arabia's Embassy in Washington mailed 4500 packets of the Quran, videos, promoting Islam to America's high schools--free. They would never allow us to reciprocate.

13. Appeal to the historically compassionate and sensitive Americans for sympathy and tolerance towards the Muslims in America who are portrayed as mainly immigrants from oppressed countries.

14. Nullify America's sense of security by manipulating the intelligence community with misinformation. Periodically terrorize Americans of impending attacks on bridges, tunnels, water supplies, airports, apartment buildings and malls. (We have experienced this too often since 9-11.)

15. Form riots and demonstrations in the prison system demanding Islamic Sharia as the way of life, not American's justice system.

16. Open numerous charities throughout the U.S. but use the funds to support Islamic terrorism with American dollars.

17. Raise interest in Islam on America's campuses by insisting that freshman take at least one course on Islam. Be sure that the writer is a bonafide American, Christian, scholarly and able to cover up the violence in the Quran and express the peaceful, spiritual and religious aspect only.

18. Unify the numerous Muslim lobbies in Washington, mosques, Islamic student centers, educational organizations, magazines and papers by internet and an annual convention to coordinate plans, propagate the faith and engender news in the media of their visibility.

19. Send intimidating messages and messengers to the outspoken individuals who are critical of Islam and seek to eliminate them by hook or crook.

20. Applaud Muslims as loyal citizens of the US by spotlighting their voting record as the highest percentage of all minority and ethic groups in America.

* Jerusalem was held by Jordan from 1948 when it attacked Israel until 1967, when it again attacked Israel.

In my article from June of 2007, Israel Creates more in One Month than Islam in a Century, I exhorted Muslims to spend their energy improvising heart valve devices instead of explosives. They ignored my advice. Instead of spending money on medical research that could benefit their own people and the rest of humanity, Iran has instead spent money on acquiring nuclear energy and socialist welfare programs. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with nuclear power for peaceful purposes, but Iran is putting its money in the wrong places.

Iran has the world's second-largest oil reserves behind Saudi Arabia but will no longer be able to export oil by around 2015 [The Market Oracle] because it has failed to reinvest enough of its oil revenues into existing infrastructure repairs.

So what does Iran spend its oil moneys on? Its nuclear program is one well known drain. The rest is wasted on Obama/ACORN-type socialist programs such as domestic aid, credit support and housing programs, sound familiar?

Hopefully, Israel will not let Iran develop nuclear power and so well before 2015 Iran, which covers 65% of its government revenues with oil moneys, will have to stop all its social programs which means we can expect another revolution there in less than a decade. Iranians may put up with food shortages, gasoline shortages, forced wearing of veils, beating by Islamic police and other inconveniences but certainly they will not put up with cutting off their welfare programs.

Instead of trying to obtain nuclear weapons in order to implement the final solution for infidels, or throwing the money at social programs that make their own people lazy and dependent, or in fueling unrest in Iraq, if instead of all these self-destructive efforts Iran had invested in medical sciences they would not have had to embarrass themselves in front of the whole world by exporting their sick to Zionist Apes and Pigs in Israel for treatment.

I often get emails scolding me for my cold-hearted attitude toward Muslims. They ask, "How would you feel if most of your family were killed by American soldiers and your country occupied?" The question betrays my reader's naivete of what is actually motivating Muslim hatred of the western world and a sad lack of knowledge of history.

Millions of Germans and Japanese had many of their family killed by American soldiers and lived under our occupation for generations until even the present day without once sending over pro-Nazi jihadists or Shinto kamikazi to America or blowing up American embassies, so please spare me how justified Muslims are to commit suicide bombings because America occupies a tiny sliver of Muslim land.

It happens I do know why so many Muslims commit so many barbaric attacks (more than 1700 savage attacks a year).

There are two kinds of Muslims, those who have many wives and sire many children and those who cannot afford to get married and have even one wife.

Good terrorists need not live

Recently, an Israeli teacher killed a student. Precisely, Rabbi Bar-On shot a Palestinian student of Bir Zeit University who brandished a knife at him. What really bothered me was a universally gleeful response of Israeli media. The rabbi killed an attacker, good, but it cannot be a matter of joy. There are tremendous issues boiling behind the incident.

The Arab kid was not a professional terrorist, even though a Fatah-Al Aqsa offshoot claimed him a member. The kid went for essentially a suicide mission: he did not try to knife down Jews in Tel Aviv where he would be merely arrested, but at a junction near Shilo, in the dreaded “territories” where many Jewish males are armed and someone would certainly kill the Arab. Yet, he mustered only two knives. He was unfamiliar with this weapon and frightened, shaking. The Arab student was willing to sacrifice his life for a minimum damage to Jews.

He was not a stereotypical terrorist. We are dealing here with the example of popular war. Palestinian society breeds hatred to “Zionist occupiers,” and Palestinian universities provide ample grounds for nationalist propaganda. It is not incitation, but realistic and truthful nationalist education.

Here lies the nightmare of primitive rationalism: Jews and Arabs are both right. Both defend their religious, nationalist, and homestead rights to the land. Arguing the fine points is senseless: Palestinians believe that they are a nation, and Jews won’t be able to convince them otherwise. There can be no compromise; people don’t compromise over their basic religious and national rights, not if they want to remain a self-respecting religious community or a nation. Those Jews who are looking to compromise do so because they don’t believe they have any rights here: assimilated atheists, what do they have to do with the Holy Land?

Palestinian Arabs, on the contrary, believe in their rights. If Jews abandoned to them Hebron and Schem, the ancient Jewish cities, how much more do the Zionists owe them Haifa and Jaffa, the towns with originally Arab majority? Jews act like the classic People of the Sea, foreign marauders who settled the shores of Canaan time and again without venturing deep into the hilly country. If Judea is not Jewish, then what rights do the Jews possibly have to any other place in Palestine?

In the real life, situations where both conflicting parties are right, arise often. When the contended issues are critical to the opponents, no mild solution is possible. Olmert-Barak-Peres-Netanyahu can give away Judea and Samaria to Arabs, but should a decent Jewish leader arise he will drive the Arabs out. Fatah-Hamas-PIJ can accept Israel, but should a more militant Palestinian leader arise, they will restart terrorism against Jews. And millions of Arabs living in Israel will help them.

At the 00:32 second mark we are shown a clip from the film The Kingdom (2007) where an Arab suicide bomber sets off a suicide vest full of explosives in a crowded American compound in Saudi Arabia. I fully agree with Riz Khan that it was totally unnecessary and stereotypical to use an Arab Muslim in this scene. Wouldn't it have had the exact same impact and meaning if instead they had used Russian agents of the former KGB? There is one problem though: this attack, which was the inspiration for the film, actually happened on 12 May 2003 and unfortunately for Hollywood scriptwriters the perpetrators were Arab Muslims and not KGB agents. I suppose Arabs/Muslims would prefer that we dispense with truth and accuracy if it offends or insults their culture/religion.

A festival of groveling to terrorists

If works of art are withdrawn because of fear of reprisal, we lose the chance for open debate

Have you heard about the first novel by a young American woman that has become the “new Satanic Verses”, sparking terrorist attacks on the publishers and riots by Islamic militants that make the protests against Salman Rushdie's book look like an English tea party?

No, you probably won't have, since there is no book for anybody to riot about. The US publishers Random House pulled The Jewel of Medina by Sherry Jones, due out today, on the ground that it “might be offensive to some in the Muslim community” and “could incite acts of violence by a small, radical segment”. An executive told the author that they had stopped her racy historical novel about Aisha, young wife of the Prophet Muhammad, out of “fear of a possible terrorist threat from extremist Muslims” and concern for “the safety and security of the Random House building and employees”.

There had been no acts of violence or terrorism, nor even threats or protests. All that happened was that one non-Muslim associate professor of Islamic history at the University of Texas, who was sent a proof copy, apparently cautioned that the book would be seen as “a declaration of war... explosive stuff... a national security issue” and more offensive than The Satanic Verses. There swiftly followed a riot of retreating publishers, and the book was blown out before anybody had the chance to set light to it for the cameras.

It looks like another example of a quiet wave of self-censorship and cultural cowardice sweeping Western art circles. Two years ago, when the Deutsche opera in Berlin scrapped a production of Mozart's Idomeneo for fear that it might offend some Muslims, I described it as “pre-emptive grovelling”. This now appears to be the modus operandi of the transatlantic arts elites.

It has just been reported that the BBC has dropped a big-budget docu-drama, The London Bombers. A team of journalists had spent months researching it in Beeston, Leeds, home of some of the 7/7 terrorists, and a top writer was preparing the final draft, when it was scrapped. The journalists were reportedly told by BBC executives that it was Islamophobic and offensive.

Last year, the New Culture Forum published a survey of similar cases, from the BBC hospital soap Casualty changing Muslim terrorists into animal rights activists, to the Barbican cutting out scenes from Tamburlaine the Great and the “cutting-edge” Royal Court Theatre cancelling an adaptation of Aristophanes' Lysistrata, both for fear that they might offend some Muslims.

The threat to freedom here does not come from a few Islamic radicals, but from the invertebrate liberals of the cultural establishment who have so lost faith in themselves that they will surrender their freedoms before anybody starts a fight. The mere suggestion of causing offence to some mob of imagined stereotypes is enough to have them scurrying for a bomb shelter, their creative imaginations blowing up small protests into the threat of a big culture war. Of course, such pre-emptive grovelling only encourages any zealot with a blog to demand even more censorship.

Who needs book burners if “offensive” books are not allowed to be published in the first place? Why bother to protest against provocative plays if the theatres will turn the lights off for you beforehand? There is no need even for a polite exchange on Points of View if the controversial programmes never get made.

The quality or lack of it in the self-censored works is not the issue here. That associate professor from Texas condemned the novel about Muhammad's wife as “soft porn”. But so what if it was? Free expression should mean freedom for what others see as filth, too. If there are artists childishly causing offence for its own sake, feel free to ignore them, but not to gag them.

Pre-emptive grovelling, encouraged from the top down by our illiberal authorities, is bad for the arts and for society. The arts can only flourish in a climate of cultural anarchy rather than compulsion and conformity. The attempt to limit what can be said must have a chilling effect, encouraging other writers and artists to pull in their horns.

Such self-censorship is also dangerous for those who don't much care about high culture. There is indeed a lesson from the Satanic Verses controversy, but not the one often cited. The dominant response to that clash of cultures was to try to bury it beneath worthy multicultural claptrap about celebrating difference. After more than 15 years of such attempts to suppress honest debate, the tensions festering beneath the surface exploded on the London transport system. As one female Muslim writer critical of the decision not to publish The Jewel of Medina says: “The series of events that torpedoed this novel are a window into how quickly fear stunts intelligent discourse about the Muslim world.”

As an old libertarian of the Left, who has long upheld the Right to Be Offensive, what makes me most angry today is to see fearful self-censorship and pre-emptive grovelling in the name of liberal values. That really is something worth intellectually rioting about.

Biblical legend tells us that a long time ago (1500 to 1200 B.C.) a certain Pharaoh of Egypt did a terrible thing to all the firstborn of the Hebrews: he had them thrown into the Nile. Whether one accepts the Exodus story as really happening or not (the written version as we know it was most likely composed around 450 B.C.), it is indisputable that Jews did not take it personally. They never went back to Egypt to kill Egyptians for payback nor do you ever hear Jews urging each other to kill Egyptians for long ago enslaving the Israelites.

Jews have lived continuously in Egypt since 650 B.C. In 1922 there were almost 80,000 Jews in Egypt living peacefully as they have always done. Today there are fewer than a hundred [Wiki].

587-586 B.C. the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar invades Jerusalem and destroys the city and the First Temple [Westmont College]. Babylon is located in what we today call Iraq. You will never hear a Jew urging his fellow Jews to kill Iraqis wherever we find them for destroying the Holy City and the Second Temple and carrying off the Jewish people into captivity.

Jews have lived continuously in the area of present-day Iraq since 586 B.C. Iraqi Jews constitute one of the world's oldest and most historically significant Jewish communities [Wiki]. In 1948, there were approximately 150,000 Jews in Iraq, living peacefully as they have always done. In 2003, there were 100 left.

In 70 A.D. the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and the Second Temple. Tens of thousands of Jews were crucified, many nailed in ridiculous postures to amuse the Roman soldiers. You will never hear a Jew urging his fellow Jews to kill Romans wherever we find them.

"Muslim warriors" threaten bishop in Philippines

Manila, Jul. 24, 2008 (CNA/CWNews.com) - A Catholic bishop in the southern Philippines’ Basilan province has received a letter from self-described “Muslim warriors,” possibly linked to Abu Sayyaf, who are threatening him with harm if he does not convert to Islam or pay “Islamic taxes.”

Further, authorities are seeking the return of three adults and two children, all Catholics, who were kidnapped in the same area this week.
On July 19 Bishop Martin Jumoad of Isabela sent a copy of the threatening letter to Church-run Radio Veritas in Quezon City, UCA News reports. Bishop Jumoad told UCA News that a student at Claret College in Isabela was told to give the letter to the school secretary who could pass it along to the bishop.

The writers of the letter claimed to be “Muslim warriors” who “don't follow any laws other than the Qur'an.” They say the bishop should convert to Islam or pay the Islamic tax, called a jizya, to their group in exchange for protecting him “in the place of Muslims.” If the bishop refuses, the letter threatened, “force, weapons or war may be used” against him. Citing bombings in other Philippines cities, the letter said he should not feel safe even if protected by soldiers.

Bishop Jumoad was given two mobile cell phone numbers and told he had fifteen days to respond. The letter bore the two names “Puruji Indama” and “Nur Hassan J. Kallitut,” both of whom were titled “Mujahiddin.” The letter was accompanied by a letterhead in the local dialect that said “Al-Harakatul Islamiyya.” The bishop said he has seen the phrase “Al-Harakatul” in kidnapping incidents in Basilan involving the terrorist group Abu Sayyaf. He also reported that other Catholics have said they are receiving threatening letters. “Bishop, we are disoriented and we cannot sleep. What is our reaction to this?" they have reportedly said.

On July 21 the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines’’ CBCP News reported that three adults and two children who are members of a parish in Basilan had been kidnapped from a public jeep. Provincial administrator Talib A. Barahim on Tuesday told UCA News that no on e has reported receiving a ransom demand.

Muslims who commit violence were rebuked at a joint conference between Catholic bishops and Muslim scholars on Monday in Manila, where Hamid Barra, the Muslim convener of the conference, underlined Islamic belief in the sacredness of life.

“It is God who gave life; he is the only one authorized to take life,” he said.

Barra, an Islamic law expert, explained that non-Muslims protected by an Islamic state are required to pay the jizya tax, which is used to support the needy, but no such payment is required in a non-Islamic state.

God is the only one "authorized" to take life. That means not his "prophet" (who was quite murderous), not his followers. This defies explanation since the koran teaches such violence as a viable option.

When Russia was still Soviet and some of her citizens came to America to escape persecution, would we have tolerated the emigre's continued allegiance to Communism? Shouldn't a person who comes to America for freedom embrace the ideals that make that freedom possible? Shouldn't a person who flees a country because of oppression renounce the ideological pillars of that oppression?

In the same manner, when a Muslim comes to America to live and work permanently because Islam made his home country intolerable to live in, shouldn't that person have the common decency to renounce Islam and assimilate into our culture? Should we tolerate that Muslim's continued devotion to a failed faux religion and accept his demands that we accommodate his religious requirements, that we renounce our westernized way of life [1], that we cover our women, that we sign on to an international law that criminalizes religious insults, that we rewrite texts that offend Muslims, that we remove commonplace items that happen to be insults to Islam, of which there are thousands?

The proper, decent, civilized thing for Muslims who have come to America to escape the horrific living conditions in their own countries due to Islamic laws and governance should be to renounce Islam. Just FYI, Ahmed, in America it is no crime to become a non-Muslim, so don't worry, we will not kill you for apostasy as they do in Muslim countries. I hope one day, when America comes to its senses, we will require immigrants to state categorically that they will no longer be faithful to a savage and ignorant cult just as we require them to renounce allegiance to Communism.

“master minded much of Hamas’ political and military strategy” and in London “is alleged to have directed funds, both for Hamas’ armed wing, and for spreading its missionary dawah”.

In fact, we did no more than translate a phrase which appeared in an Al Jazeera report of Mr Sawalha’s speech. When Al Jazeera changed that phrase from “Evil Jew” to “Jewish Lobby”, we reported that fact, along with the statement that it had been a typographical error.

Mr Sawalha has been the prime mover in a number of Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood associated projects. He is President of the British Muslim Initiative. He is the past President of the Muslim Association of Britain. He was the founder of IslamExpo, and is registered as the holder of the IslamExpo domain name. He is also a trustee of the Finsbury Park Mosque….

…Mr Sawalha says that the attribution of the phrase “Evil Jew” to him implies that he is “anti-semitic and hateful”. Notably, he does not take issue with our reporting of the revelation, made in a Panorama documentary in 2006, that he is a senior activist in the clerical fascist terrorist organisation, Hamas.

It looks like Harry’s Place is going up against some pretty top-notch lawyers on this one, and they’ve got guts, but as the post goes on to say:

If Mr Sawalha persists in attempting to silence us with this desperate legal suit, we will need your help.

Sharia Showdown on Wall Street

Sheik Muhammad Taqi Usmani has been a rock star of the Islamic finance world, sitting on the sharia supervisory boards of no fewer than a dozen Islamic banks and financial institutions worldwide.

For nearly a decade, the mufti also has advised the Dow Jones Islamic Market Index, which licenses more than 25 stock funds that comply with Islamic laws forbidding certain Western-style investments. The venerable Dow Jones & Co. first retained him in 1999.

Usmani’s name is now missing from the Dow Jones website, where it had previously been prominently displayed. His bio and photo suddenly vanished without explanation.

Meanwhile, all references to Dow Jones disappeared from the website of the North American Islamic Trust, or NAIT, which runs a sharia-compliant mutual fund out of Burr Ridge, Ill.

For years the fund had been called the Dow Jones Islamic Fund. Dow had lent NAIT its good name under a licensing agreement.

But recently the trust felt compelled to rename its lead portfolio the “Iman Fund,” and amend several pages in its prospectus to remove all references to Dow Jones, as well as Usmani. Again, no explanation was offered.

What’s behind the mystery? It’s all been very hush-hush, but according to a high-level document I’ve obtained, along with interviews with company insiders, Dow Jones recently terminated NAIT’s license and dumped Usmani to protect its brand. The company, now under new management, no longer wants to be associated with either of them, especially after they received a spate of bad publicity this year.

Articles published on this webzine — as well as in the National Review, Investor’s Business Daily and the Washington Times, among other media — have called attention to Usmani’s fatwahs demanding that Muslims living in the West conduct or support violent jihad against infidels at every opportunity.

“Killing is to continue until the unbelievers pay jizyah (subjugation tax) after they are humbled or overpowered,” the radical Pakistani cleric wrote in his book, “Islam and Modernism,” which in 2006 was translated from his native Urdu into English.

Usmani advocates spreading sharia law in America and the West — the barbaric legal code that not only justifies holy war, but the stonings, floggings, amputations and even beheadings for petty crimes seen in Muslim nations such as Saudi Arabia, Iran and Sudan.

The aim of Muslims, he wrote, is to “take out people from the rule of people and put them under the rule of Allah.”

You can be sure Usmani will make a case as being a victim of criminal Islamophobia. About his obvious Infidel-a-Phobia, however, no one will say a word! No doubt the multicultural crowd will claim that the capitalist Dow Jone has overreacted and will urge us all to be more understanding. At any moment I expect to see a statement from CAIR (although they seem to have their own little problem right now), and the various Muslim associations in the US, condemning Dow Jones move. While you are expecting the usual reactions… don’t hold your breath waiting for the UN Human Rights Council to condemn Infidel-a-Phobia, or to declare it a crime like they did in the case Islamophobia.

More, Usmani has run a Pakistani madrassa that’s trained thousands of Taliban, according to the Washington-based Center for Security Policy.

Usmani is no longer employed by Dow Jones, which says it only recently learned of such “allegations.”

NAIT, which until a few months ago managed a $40 million Dow Jones portfolio, also has come under fire.

Allegedly, the trust is a Saudi-tied front for the pro-jihad Muslim Brotherhood that holds title to some of the most radical mosques in America.

The Justice Department last year named NAIT an unindicted co-conspirator in a terror money-laundering scheme to funnel more than $12 million to Hamas suicide bombers and their families under the guise of charity.

Dow has since revoked NAIT’s license.

No doubt some of the money Usmani has used to train his Taliban pupils has come from his Dow Jones earnings… Doesn’t anybody at Dow Jones bother to do background checks on their “experts” or on the organizations they license their brand to ?!?!?!? Why did Dow Jones have to wait 2 years before severing ties with this illustrious sharia investment expert and only did so under its new management? Is the chase for the almighty buck that more important than the long term survival of the west?

Dow Jones’ dumping of one of its top sharia advisers and licensees is a welcome setback to the burgeoning sharia-finance industry in America, which forbids investments in key businesses that drive our economy, including financial services, entertainment and aerospace-defense, as well as alcohol, tobacco and pork-related products.

It’s also a serious blow to the credibility of one of the world’s leading sharia-finance authorities, as well as that of America’s largest mosque landlord.

But the case merely points up the unknown risks associated with Islamic finance.

What other sharia advisers are closet jihadists lusting after the blood of infidels? What other Islamic investment funds may be steering money to terrorists with the imprimatur of one of Wall Street’s most respected institutions?

Gazan Arabs Seek Compensation for Dismissal From Gush Katif Jobs

(IsraelNN.com) Gazan Arabs who were employed by Israeli farmers in Gush Katif until the 2005 eviction of Jews from the region are seeking ways to sue their former employers for “wrongful dismissal” and other employee benefits.

The uprooting of the vibrant Jewish communities and economy of Gush Katif during the Sharon Administration’s “disengagement” from Gaza led to the instant unemployment of about 10,000 people who worked in agriculture and related industries, including 5,000 Arabs from the Palestinian Authority. As of June 2008, over 50 percent of former Gush Katif residents still find themselves unemployed.

According to an Israel TV Channel One report, the SELA Administration, which was set up to assist Disengagement evictees to rebuild their lives and communities, told former Gush Katif residents, employers and businessmen that the Arab claims are “your problem.”

In 2005 the Israeli government made Gaza a totally jüdenrein area in the best tradition of Hitler and his hordes. They did that because the Chamberlainesque Israeli government felt it would advance peace with the Palestinians. Of course, it didn’t! The greenhouses left behind by dem Jooz represented $100,000,000.00 yearly income and used to amply feed 15,000 people including 5,000 Palestinians.

As soon as dem Zionists were gone, the Palestinians rather than avail themselves of the greenhouses and equipment left them, immediately proceeded to destroy it all. What a brilliant display of ultimate idiocy! Not only were the dispossessed Jooz never properly compensated by their government, who sent them there in the first place, but now having wantonly destroyed their former places of employment the Palestinians found themselves out of jobs!

Palestinian gall is nothing new, however, the more they get makes it’s obvious to them they can wrest even more. What is truly despicable is the attitude of PM Allmerde’s government when it told former Gush Katif residents, employers and businessmen that the Arab claims are “your problem.” There were never no real provisions made for the 10,000 people it dispossessed and now it abandons them when faced with a ridiculous suit… When it comes to incompetents like Allmerde, that’s par for the course!

As for the Palestinians, my question is thus: if dem cursed Zionists could work hard and build a powerful economy, why can’t they?!? Or is this suit really a cry for the Israelis to take Gaza again and rescue the average Palestinian from the clutches of Hamas? After all, it has already become painfully clear that Hamas corruption - by far - outdoes that of Fatah?

Time to Deport all Muslims from Jerusalem

After the Arab bulldozer psychopath went on a murderous rampage in Jerusalem, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said, "There is no way to fence-off the Arabs of east Jerusalem and every home of a potential terrorist." [ynetnews] Actually he's wrong. What would happen if Israel did precisely that? Would Iran threaten to wipe Israel off the map? Would the Arab press start printing uncomplimentary articles about Jews? Would Hezbollah fire rockets into Israel? Would Muslims boycott Israeli products? Would Hamas send in suicide bombers? Would Palestinian TV start airing programs that teach children that Jews are apes and pigs and should be killed?

Would leftists in America call Israel an aggressor nation? Would the UN call for sanctions against Israel? Would Israel be denounced any differently than it is now? What's the downside? Since Israel is already being judged unfairly in Europe, in the UN, and the Muslim world, what would change?

As for Europe, it would do exactly what it did when the US went into Iraq over their objections: nothing. We have seen how Muslim minorities bully their host countries; Europe would piss in its pants if Israel merely huffed and puffed.

Between 1830 and 1918 the Ottoman Empire was on the losing side of a few wars and was divided up among the victors except for what is today modern Turkey; Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria, the Trans-Jordan and many other territories that are now nations were created out of nothing. For example, In Lebanon there are no Lebanese only Arabs, Phoenicians and Armenians. In Syria there are no Syrians only Arabs, Kurds, and Armenians. In Iraq there are no Iraqis only Arabs, Kurds, and Assyrians. After WWI all these Arabs, Kurds, Armenians, etc. got to live in a made-up country except for one group. The Jews. The only ones who have actually lived continuously in the region for thousand of years more than anyone else. Israel is the only country that is not a fugazy, made up nation.

Until now, the quality of a vibrato -- the pulsating change of pitch in a singer's voice -- could only be judged by voice experts. Now, a Tel Aviv University research team 'has successfully managed to train a computer to rate vibrato quality, and has created an application based on biofeedback to help singers improve their technique.' Interestingly, this research could be used for other applications, such as improving automated help centers, where computers could be trained 'to recognize a range of different emotions, such as anger and nervousness.'

During the Lebanon War there were many complaints from the UN and in Europe about the disproportionate response by Israel over what to Europeans seemed like a trivial event: the capture of two Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah. In addition, Liberals and Muslim apologists wet their panties in shock over the disproportionate number of Arabs killed compared to Jews.

They would have us wage war so that both sides have equal casualties. I suppose Israelis, as soon as they killed 100 Hezbollah, should have uncocked their weapons and waited until Hezbollah murdered an equal number of Israelis.

Shortly after the Lebanon War, I wrote 10 Palestinians Killed for Every Israeli is intolerable - it should be 100 to 1, since there are over a billion and half Muslims and only a handful of Jews, relatively speaking.

Despite rocket attacks and suicide bombers, there's some good news for Israel: EU nations today agreed to strengthen relations with Israel. No one should doubt that if it were not for Arab oil, Europe would have strong economic ties with Israel. Hopefully someday the non-Muslim world will find a way to get off Muslim oil or render Islam powerless to wreak havoc in the civilized world.

But even during times of hardship, committed supporters—especially Christian pilgrims and Jews from the U.S. and Europe—have continued to flock to Israel. About 1 million visitors went there in 2002, during the peak of the most recent intifada.

I have written many times that the greatest threat to Western Civilization is not al Qaeda or Muslim terrorists; it is your common, ordinary, average, moderate Joe or Jane Jihadi. The moderate Muslim does not blow up school buses or train stations or hospitals. The moderate Muslim does not slit the throats of Jews living peacefully in France. As brutal as these acts of terror may be, Civilization will continue and flourish despite the loss of a few hundred poor souls slaughtered by radical Islam.

But the real danger is in fact actually the moderate Muslim who, when offended by all that is infidel, demands that those offenses be removed or destroyed. In the civilized world we call those things science, women's rights, learning, free-speech, art, progress, technology, and freedom of the press. Islamic Scholars have even demanded that the West pass laws to criminalize insults to Islam.

The year was 1951 and I was only a few months past my 6th birthday when I fell in love with Disney's animated feature Alice in Wonderland. The previous year I had seen my first Disney film, Cinderella, and I thought that was the best thing I had ever seen in my 6 years of life, but now this Alice - this was mesmerizing.

The lunacy of Wonderland was intoxicating with characters and scenes popping up here and there with no sense or reason; I shivered as Alice struggled through the menacing forest; I couldn't take my ears off the mentholated purring of the Cheshire Cat; I strained to decipher the gibble-gabble of the Mad Hatter and his friends; I was a thrall to my seat throughout the film.

One thing that children are most sensitive to is the unfairness of adults. We want to stay up all night but mom says no. We want to eat ice cream and push away the broccoli but dad says we can only get to enjoy ice cream after we clean the plate. We want to run with scissors and swing wooden swords at our little brother but nanny takes away our weapons. So what I remember most starkly and what has remained riveted in my mind to this day was the ridiculously unfair trial of Alice by the tyrannical Queen of Hearts.

If you recall, the Queen summons the March Hare, the Mad Hatter and the Dormouse as witnesses against Alice and they end up holding an absurd, unbirthday party for her.

So now, whenever the UN demands, "Off with her head," in regard to Israel, no matter who's at fault, I am reminded of Alice in Wonderland.

The UN Human Rights Council was established on 15 Mar 2006. By April of 2007 the Council had passed nine resolutions condemning Israel and had been the only country the UN Human Rights Council had specifically condemned [Wiki].

Come on now, just on a practical level, more people die in Darfur in one month than Palestinians in the entire 8 years past, yet the Sudan, a country with egregious human rights abuses gets a pass from the Council with only an expressed "deep concern." Does that make any sense at all?

Why Islam Cannot Reform

There are deluded Jews and Christians who believe that the barbaric attacks against non-Muslims and even fellow Muslims alike throughout the world are being perpetrated by members of a small, extreme, perverted brand of Islam and that "true" Islam is probably just like modern Christianity or Judaism; that all that is needed is for moderate Muslims to take back their religion from the radicals.

Then there are the deluded Jews and Christians who have actually read the Quran for themselves and realize that the barbarity of Muslim terror we see today is indeed rooted in the very essence of Islam and argue that we must not condemn the religion when all that is needed is for Islam to go through a reformation and modernization as Christianity and Judaism has done.

Yemen: Haven for Terrorists

At first blush you might think yesterday's attack on the tanker Takayama off the east coast of Yemen was the reason the United Nations put up blast walls around its main headquarters and closed some of its offices in Yemen.

Actually, the UN, as well as other foreign entities, has had security problems in the country for some time. Earlier this month there was an attack on a housing complex (including U.N. buildings) for Western diplomats in Yemen's capital and in March a failed mortar attack on the U.S. Embassy injured 13 schoolgirls from a nearby highschool.

The past few years has seen a number of attacks in Yemen targeting foreign tourists and businesses, oil infrastructure, U.S., French, and yesterday, Japanese ships.

Yemen ostensibly joined U.S.-led efforts to fight terrorism after the 11 Sept 2001 attacks but has been unable to purge itself of al-Qaeda and may never be able to do so without the help of the local tribes nor does it have the political will to do so. The main problem of course is that the tribesman (click on photo) do not view al Qaeda as the enemy.

Recently, I wrote about Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy (TIZA), a K-8 charter school in Inver Grove Heights. Charter schools are public schools and by law must not endorse or promote religion. Evidence suggests, however, that TIZA is an Islamic school, funded by Minnesota taxpayers.

TIZA has many characteristics that suggest a religious school. It shares the headquarters building of the Muslim American Society of Minnesota, whose mission is "establishing Islam in Minnesota." The building also houses a mosque. TIZA's executive director, Asad Zaman, is a Muslim imam, or religious leader, and its sponsor is an organization called Islamic Relief.

Students pray daily, the cafeteria serves halal food - permissible under Islamic law -- and "Islamic Studies" is offered at the end of the school day.

Zaman maintains that TIZA is not a religious school. He declined, however, to allow me to visit the school to see for myself, "due to the hectic schedule for statewide testing." But after I e-mailed him that the Minnesota Department of Education had told me that testing would not begin for several weeks, Zaman did not respond -- even to urgent calls and e-mails seeking comment before my first column on TIZA.

Now, however, an eyewitness has stepped forward. Amanda Getz of Bloomington is a substitute teacher. She worked as a substitute in two fifth-grade classrooms at TIZA on Friday, March 14. Her experience suggests that school-sponsored religious activity plays an integral role at TIZA.

Arriving on a Friday, the Muslim holy day, she says she was told that the day's schedule included a "school assembly" in the gym after lunch.

Before the assembly, she says she was told, her duties would include taking her fifth-grade students to the bathroom, four at a time, to perform "their ritual washing."

Afterward, Getz said, "teachers led the kids into the gym, where a man dressed in white with a white cap, who had been at the school all day," was preparing to lead prayer. Beside him, another man "was prostrating himself in prayer on a carpet as the students entered."

"The prayer I saw was not voluntary," Getz said. "The kids were corralled by adults and required to go to the assembly where prayer occurred."

Islamic Studies was also incorporated into the school day. "When I arrived, I was told 'after school we have Islamic Studies,' and I might have to stay for hall duty," Getz said. "The teachers had written assignments on the blackboard for classes like math and social studies. Islamic Studies was the last one -- the board said the kids were studying the Qu'ran. The students were told to copy it into their planner, along with everything else. That gave me the impression that Islamic Studies was a subject like any other."

After school, Getz's fifth-graders stayed in their classroom and the man in white who had led prayer in the gym came in to teach Islamic Studies. TIZA has in effect extended the school day -- buses leave only after Islamic Studies is over. Getz did not see evidence of other extra-curricular activity, except for a group of small children playing outside. Significantly, 77 percent of TIZA parents say that their "main reason for choosing TIZA ... was because of after-school programs conducted by various non-profit organizations at the end of the school period in the school building," according to a TIZA report. TIZA may be the only school in Minnesota with this distinction.

Why does the Minnesota Department of Education allow this sort of religious activity at a public school? According to Zaman, the department inspects TIZA regularly -- and has done so "numerous times" -- to ensure that it is not a religious school.

But the department's records document only three site visits to TIZA in five years -- two in 2003-04 and one in 2007, according to Assistant Commissioner Morgan Brown. None of the visits focused specifically on religious practices.

The department is set up to operate on a "complaint basis," and "since 2004, we haven't gotten a single complaint about TIZA," Brown said. In 2004, he sent two letters to the school inquiring about religious activity reported by visiting department staffers and in a news article. Brown was satisfied with Zaman's assurance that prayer is "voluntary" and "student-led," he said. The department did not attempt to confirm this independently, and did not ask how 5- to 11-year-olds could be initiating prayer. (At the time, TIZA was a K-5 school.)

Zaman agreed to respond by e-mail to concerns raised about the school's practices. Student "prayer is not mandated by TIZA," he wrote, and so is legal. On Friday afternoons, "students are released ... to either join a parent-led service or for study hall." Islamic Studies is provided by the Muslim American Society of Minnesota, and other "nonsectarian" after-school options are available, he added.

Yet prayer at TIZA does not appear to be spontaneously initiated by students, but rather scheduled, organized and promoted by school authorities.

Request for volunteers

Until recently, TIZA's website included a request for volunteers to help with "Friday prayers." In an e-mail, Zaman explained this as an attempt to ensure that "no TIZA staff members were involved in organizing the Friday prayers."

But an end run of this kind cannot remove the fact of school sponsorship of prayer services, which take place in the school building during school hours. Zaman does not deny that "some" Muslim teachers "probably" attend. According to federal guidelines on prayer in schools, teachers at a public school cannot participate in prayer with students.

In addition, schools cannot favor one religion by offering services for only its adherents, or promote after-school religious instruction for only one group. The ACLU of Minnesota has launched an investigation of TIZA, and the Minnesota Department of Education has also begun a review.

TIZA's operation as a public, taxpayer-funded school is troubling on several fronts. TIZA is skirting the law by operating what is essentially an Islamic school at taxpayer expense. The Department of Education has failed to provide the oversight necessary to catch these illegalities, and appears to lack the tools to do so. In addition, there's a double standard at work here -- if TIZA were a Christian school, it would likely be gone in a heartbeat.

TIZA is now being held up as a national model for a new kind of charter school. If it passes legal muster, Minnesota taxpayers may soon find themselves footing the bill for a separate system of education for Muslims.

When the Mongol Ruler arrived at the great walled city of Volohoi, he convinced the city commander that Mongols would leave if the city sent out 1,000 cats and several thousand swallows. When he got them, Genghis had bits of cloth tied to their tails and set the cloth on fire. Genghis then loosed the cats and birds against the city. When they fled back they set hundreds of fires. Genghis then had no problem sacking the city.

And now, instead of attacking with swords and armies, Muslims have taken to using or rather abusing the laws of the West to turn our own laws against us. Khalid bin Mahfouz, a billionaire Egyptian who resides in Saudi Arabia, has sued more than a few dozen publishers and authors in British courts, including several Americans, whose books or writings have linked him to terrorist entities. Mahfouz has taken advantage of the UK's plaintiff-friendly libel laws to bar the publication or distribution of written works that focus on Saudi-funded terrorism.

To avoid charges of Racism, Bigotry and Islamophobia, many commentators when criticising Islam try to ameliorate the sting of their remarks by closing their arguments with the meaningless phrase, "Of course not all Muslims are terrorists," as if one can easily look into the heart and soul of our Muslim guests and immigrants and easily distinguish one from the other.

The effort is futile. They will still be called racists, bigots and Islamophobes by Muslims and their apologists. But why even bother uttering the obvious? Of course, not all 1.5 billion Muslims are terrorists. But so what? The problem with allowing Muslims into our country is not that there might be one terrorist out of a thousand; the problem is that the other 999 make a fertile media in which the terrorist may thrive.

But, you may interrupt, the Amish in America have not really accepted the American way of life so why don't you criticise them? Well, that may be true in part. Like Muslims they dress modestly or at least differently, like Muslims they have a very high fertility rate (6.8 children per family!), like Muslims their lives follow a very strict set of guidelines, like Muslims the Amish are averse to any technology, and one can find hundreds of other similarities. What distinguishes the Amish from Muslims however is one thing, the most important thing and the thing that makes the Amish completely harmless: they do not care to forcefully convert anyone to the Amish faith. If, however, the Amish Ordnung contained the phrase Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them." [Quran Sura 8.12], then I would do all in my power to have them deported or interned even though they be born American citizens.

If a hundred-thousand Amish moved into Bayonne, my city would profit from their industry and wholesomeness. If ten Muslims moved in, it would be the beginning of the end for my town and eventually civilization as we know it.

The problem with Muslims is the Petri dish problem. If you have an empty Petri dish it is impossible for bacteria to grow, but put in just the tiniest amount of agar agar and you have the proper environment in which to grow bacteria. So it is with Muslims. Terrorists by themselves cannot live in isolation. They would be too easy to spot, their activities too easy to monitor, their plans too easy to discover. But put a thousand Muslims in an American city and you invite terrorists to come there. How would anyone be able to distinguish the lone terrorist from among the moderates? One cannot. Money, food, lodging, and support, all these things would now be available to him from those who are not terrorists themselves but are sympathetic to his cause.

AP's Latest Basra Report

Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said he will stay in Basra until security in the city is restored, as U.S. jets dropped guided bombs on a suspected Shiite militia stronghold there, the Associated Press reported.

Earlier, eight civilians, including two women and one child, were killed after a U.S. warplane bombed a house in Basra, Iraqi police said, according to the AP.

Al-Maliki's remarks came four days after Iraqi troops launched a crackdown against Shiite militias and gangs in the southern Iraqi city, AP reported.

American forces launched their first air strikes in Basra yesterday as Iraqi troops struggled against strong resistance in the nation's commercial center and headquarters of the oil industry, AP said. Clashes there have sparked retaliatory fights in Baghdad and other Shiite cities, it said.

Handing over the security of Iraq to Iraqi forces is a key policy of the U.S.-led coalition, and the U.S. yesterday indicated plans for reducing the number of U.S. troops in Iraq would go ahead. The U.K. transferred the southern, oil-rich province of Basra to Iraqi forces in December. Half of Iraq is now under Iraqi provincial control and the government has said it hopes to take over the remaining provinces as soon as possible.

Fitna and Freedom Of Speech

The latest on the Live Leak video of Fitna is that they have succumbed to the threats of the Islamists. The most ridiculous thing of all is that these religious criminals do not see that Live Leak's admitting to shutting down a video to protect staff from them is only a verification of the very subject of the film. While YouTube simply pulls a video, Live Leak's bravery is duly noted.

This is not at all unlike the retarded cartoon riots where public perception of the Prophet Mohammad was satirized resulting in similar reaction and censor, proving the satire correct. Does anyone see the pattern here?

Since Youtube allows videos extolling the virtues of Hezbollah, we can assume they have no problem with showing murderous Islamic thugs and terrorists, but one wonders what terms of service the film Fitna violated when it merely criticized Islam; read the details over at Just a Girl in short shorts talking about whatever.

There are two ways to incite Muslims to riot, pillage, attack Christians, burn churches, rape infidel women, brutally behead unbelievers, blow up embassies, savagely violate children, and in general to behave violently:

Release a film critical of Islam and the Quran.
Let them simply read the Quran.

He's been receiving disturbing reports from Dutch nationals all over the world, including ones about fear of repercussions among Christians in Sudan, the Middle East and Indonesia, with churches being the target. In the case of Indonesia, the wave of church burning which took place only a few years ago is still fresh in people's memories. Bas Plaisier was in Jakarta fairly recently and found that it was in fact moderate Muslims who would ask him: "What in heaven's name are you doing in the Netherlands, are you actually aware of what you are doing?"

Let me translate that last line for you: "Don't you know that we are going to riot and kill anyone who insults Islam?"

France Kicks Out Extremist Muslim Clerics

France had the right idea three years ago, expelling an extremist Muslim cleric for advocating wife beating, stoning and other medieval Islamic views, although I would ask, "Why not all extremist Muslims and why not all Muslim clerics?" France has the largest Muslim population on the Continent and so rightly is less tolerant than many other countries in Europe in allowing radicals to spread their primitive and barbaric sermons in their mosques.

Abdelkader Bouziane was the fifth cleric expelled from France in the first few months of 2004 on charges of spreading a dangerously divisive brand of radical Islam (as if there were such a thing as a non-dangerous brand of radical Islam!). The country's kicked out dozens since 2001. It should also be noted that the Imam has more than a dozen and a half children with two wives ensuring that France will eventually have to defuse 18 improvised explosive devices as children are called in Islam.

The modern world is facing a crisis as it struggles to curb the spread of extremist Islamic thought and yet protect the civil liberties of its citizens. Sadly, it is a balancing act doomed to failure. Long ago, civilized society realized that it cannot grant the same rights to convicted criminals as it does to its law-abiding members. No sane, civilized person would object to banishing the sociopath from his country and should find no moral objection to doing likewise with members of the Islamic faith and for the same reasons.

Running with Scissors in Islam

Imagine for a moment you are a mere child and your mother tells you it's OK to run with scissors. When asked why, she replies that she wants you to have more freedom, less restrictions on your behaviour.

"But Mom," you ask, "isn't that more dangerous for me?"

And so it is. Last February, Turkey's parliament approved constitutional amendments removing the restrictions on female students wearing the Muslim headscarf. While this was presented as a step forward, as an issue of human rights, of the freedom to self-expression and to study without restrictions, it is in fact a step backward.

Suppose David Duke, while he was a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, had introduced legislation "allowing" blacks to wear a ball and chain, would this be viewed as an issue of human rights, of the freedom to self-expression? Would this be a step forward for blacks?

What Happened to the Fearless Jew?

In my article 40 years now 40 years in the desert then, I explained that the sole reason the Israelites wandered the desert for 40 years in the Exodus was because of defeatists and that the sole reason for the astonishing success of Israel against its combined enemies in the 6 Day war was because Israel did not have defeatists in power in 1967; but unfortunately we are in a period of history where the defeatists are in great number again, both in Israel and here in the United States.

Then, in my post War Now - War in 1967, I noted the difference between the fearful Jew of old and the fearless Israeli of 1967 and ended by concluding that Liberal Jews in America will still happily skip into gas chambers and climb into ovens, which angered some of my readers. No Jew, one reader commented, skipped happily into a gas chamber. OK, so I used a bit of hyperbole, but the truth is that, except for a few exceptions, most Jews stood silent while atrocities were committed against them.

Actually, I was not writing anything untrue or unknown to other Jews. A tip of the turban to Smooth Stone for alerting me to Hayyim Nachman Bialik, who wrote a poem in 1905, "Be-Ir ha-Haregah (the City of Death)" about the slaughter in the Bessarabian city of Kishinev (now part of Moldova), in which Bialik blamed the Jewish men for being too frightened to prevent the rape of their women by Cossacks.

This is a religious war

Their rule book is the koran. They get fatwa's issued from imams. They quote the koran and/or the hadiths for their actions. Their enemies are anyone who doesn't believe that allah is G-d and mohammed was his prophet. Their koran informs them that their mortal enemies are the Jews. Their koran guides them in their acts of murder and deception and provides them with islamic logic and reasoning. Their koran allows them to lie to non-believers. The list goes on.

These people who are labelled radicals by the relativistic and fearful crowd are followers of allah. They follow their koran literally. They see no reason to reform the religion because it is practiced as it was when mohammed invented it. In the minds of these people, the "moderates" qualify as apostates. They also realize that when the rubber meets the road, these "moderates" will take their side. This means that an army of 100 million radicals becomes an army of 1.2 billion radicals.

Their main enemy are the Jews. There is no room for tolerance in the islamic faith for accepting the fact that there are Jews living anywhere. Second on their list of enemies is anyone who befriends the Jews. Christians, Buddhists, secularists, leftists, rightists; it doesn't matter. The islamists are forcing people to take up sides. Those who claim to be neutral will be used and then discarded by the islamists. An islamist has no use for a person without some kind of conviction. Claiming to be neutral tags one as an ignorant coward.

Do not lull yourself into believing that this is not a religious war, it is. This is a war between faiths. Those who lack faith are unarmed and unprepared for this war. The islamist invokes his religion for every action he takes. They cite the koran word for word and follow it. Unlike the Bible which has been manipulated by power mongers from time to time, the koran cannot be taken out of its context. It says that Jews are apes and dogs and doesn't disclaim it later. It states that infidels should be subjected as slaves or killed and never rescinds that.

The islamists have taken over communities and countries through violence and hatred. They are attempting to rewrite national laws to fit their Sharia and the "neutralists" are helping them. Freedom of speech is the first of the laws of democracy that is under attack. They are attempting to add exceptions for vocal freedom by creating blasphemy laws. These laws are only for blasphemy of the koran however. Yet the "neutralists" would rather have the violence quelled as opposed to having peace. These "neutralists" are the ones that will eliminate our individual freedoms. These "neutralists" who want everyone to "just get along" are willing to cede our rights in order to grant extra rights to the islamists. I digress.

I have chosen what side I am on. I support Israel. I support the Jews. I am American. I believe in liberty and freedom. I believe G-d granted me free will and that it is mine to use. I believe their is an accountability for what I say and do. I am a Christian.

This makes me an enemy of the islamists. According to my faith, I am a soldier in G-d's army. I will fight for what he has given me. The allah that the islamists pray to is diametrically opposed to the G-d I worship. My G-d is consistent and lives up to his promises. My G-d will chastise me when I have done wrong and will reward me for even the most trivial righteous action or word. The islamic allah is about death. Death by any means, but especially murder. My G-d considers it a sin to lie to anyone even non-believers. My G-d will not suffer a liar. Allah seems to thrive on it.

The Bible versus the Koran. G-d's chosen and adopted against Satan's dogs. This is what I believe. I am not a warmonger nor a person that hates for sport. I see war coming and there is no way to prevent it. The actions that politicians are taking today are doing nothing more than delaying the war and creating a situation where the war will consume the planet and be far worse than it had to be. The delay will only shift the onus to our children and their children. By allowing another generation to pass means there will be more "neutralists" and less soldiers that are properly armed.

The islamist can afford to wait. The longer they have the better the odds for them. They know that the Jewish and Christian faithful are presently on the decline. They know that the more they continue their terror attacks and utilize propaganda, and manipulate governments, the more "neutralists" they'll create. They also know that they will attract people to their side purely for reasons of violence. This islamic allah lives up to the definition of the Biblical Lucifer perfectly. He is the king of death and lies.

Possible Redemption

According to the Lebanese newspaper, A-Saphir, Hizbullah has positioned roughly 50,000 "fighters" along the Lebanese-Israeli border.

If Hassan Nasrallah has the gumption I don't believe he has then Ehud Olmert will get a shot at redemption. If Hizbollah is truly putting a show of force on the border they better be ready to back it up. Somewhere along the line an attack is going to be made whether ordered or not. This attack will force Ehud Olmert to make a decision. The wrong decision and he might as well pack his bags and move to Europe.

The Israelis are going to wait and see. If Olmert gives the green light, what kind of response does the Israeli Military follow with? Right now Israel is faced with the possibility of an all out invasion of Gaza and now, it appears, they may have to do more than just defend the northern border of Israel.

The wild card in Lebanon is the Lebanese governments response. Does it support Hizbollah or does Fuad Saniora help put the pinch on Hizbollah. The latter is the right decision. However Mr. Saniora hasn't shown the spine necessary to make the hard decisions. This is only a hard decision because it involves Israel and there are many Lebanes that don't like Israel. As I wrote in the previous Lebanese affair, Lebanon should stop looking at Israel as an enemy. If it were to ally itself with Israel that would guarantee some protection. Unfortunately Mr. Saniora appears to fear the islamists.

Back to Israel. Ehud Olmert may just get his chance at redemption. I pray that the Almighty has instilled a spine in this man. Then again Mr. Olmert would have to accept that gift. Seeing as he is a true politician, I don't see that he has learned anything. I hope I am wrong.

Another War In Lebanon Soon?

TEL AVIV -- Three years after the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Hariri, Syria and its Hezbollah ally (its invasion army) appear determined to block the full implementation of UN Resolution 1701, which sought to stabilize the region by requiring the Lebanese army to guard their borders with Syria and Israel, and the abolishment of Syrias Hezbollah army in Lebanon.

By preventing the election of a new president, in succession to Emile Lahoud, whose term ended last Nov. 23, both Syria and Hezbollah have two clear objectives:

* Syria wants to prevent at all costs the appointment of the international court that is to try Hariri's assassins. All fingers point to Damascus as having masterminded the assassination.

* Hezbollah wants to make sure any future president and government would not try to disarm this pro-Iranian Shiite terrorist organization, as called for by Resolution 1701.

Because of these two uncompromising positions, all outside efforts to find a solution to the vacant presidency have failed.

Despite its skepticism, the U.S. had allowed France to mediate in this crisis. After many international conferences and great effort by France, the effort has failed. Syria promised to be "co-operative" but in reality blocked any compromise.

Then came an Arab effort. Following a unanimous decision by 22 Arab foreign ministers, including the Syrian minister, the Arab League presented a simple and clear cut proposal that met everyones approval except Syria which threw up many hurdles. Hezbollah and its Christian ally, Gen. Michel Aoun, wanted an agreement on the future government even before the election of the new president. They also wanted an agreement on the future army chief of staff in order to make sure he wouldn't try to disarm Hezbollah, as called for by Resolution 1701.

In other words, the Syrians don't want their murderous guilt proven before the world and they have no intention of ending their takeover attempt of Lebanon. They would rather see all of the Lebanese dead first.

With the French and Arab League failures, a frustrated Amr Moussa, last of the Arab League representatives to try, returned Saturday to Cairo, leaving to the rival Lebanese leaders the impossible task of finding a solution to their crisis. The result was as expected. Leaders from both camps engaged in reckless rhetoric, threatening each other with a renewed civil war.

The most furious rhetoric came from Democratic Gathering leader, Druze MP Waleed Jumblatt. He said Hezbollah's leader, Sheik Hassan Nassrallah, and his Christian ally, Gen. Michel Aoun, are "tools" in the hands of the "most despicable" people, meaning the Syrian regime.

Jumblatt accused his rivals of preparing for the return of Syria to Lebanon. "Whatever your potency and whatever mercenaries you use, we are not afraid," he said. "We will never kneel to Syria... If you want chaos, we welcome chaos... If you want war, we welcome war..."

This sharpened war of words came on the eve of the third anniversary of the assassination of Rafiq Hariri on Feb. 14. Prime Minister Fuad Siniora and leader of the pro-government coalition, Saad Hariri, are organizing a mass rally in only 2 days, on this coming Thursday in the Martyrs Square in Beirut, similar to the one-million rally that led to the withdrawal of the Syrian troops from Lebanon.

Hariri and his economic empire are organizing transportation to Beirut from all over the country. Hariri donated $52 million from his own pocket to finance various development and education projects in northern Lebanon, where Syrian influence is particularly strong. This man is pouring his own personal fortune into ridding Lebanon of the Syrian invaders.

The U.S., France, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Israel are following with great concern this instability in Beirut. While the silent majority in Lebanon is still a majority, it is feared Hezbollah and its pro-Syrian allies would use violence to disrupt Thursday's rally, which could degenerate into an open civil war.

As for Israel, the major concern in Jerusalem is that the chaos in Lebanon will spill over its northern border. According to Resolution 1701, the border is monitored jointly by UNIFIL and by the Lebanese army.

Israel fears Hezbollah will use this instability to infiltrate back into Southern Lebanon. Israel is aware of such an eventuality and is preparing itself for such an unwelcome development.

Lebanon could erupt into civil war in only two more days. This is serious business as it literally means war between Lebanon and Syria. It may seem strange to us in the West, but Lebanons best ally is Israel. Lebanons loyalties are divided between groups loyal to Syria and those loyal to Lebanon, and the latter are allies of Israel. This is simply because they support a peaceful, not-aggressive Lebanon and this is exactly what Israel wants as well.

In the event of a Lebanese civil war, would Israel come to the aid of their allies? And if they did, would the Syrians attack them? Israel would retaliate, of course, which would infuriate Russian and Iran and we might have to come to the defense of Israel.

I'm sure you can see now where a civil war in Lebanon could lead. The next few days are crucial.

Dania Al-Ghalib: Saudi Women Are Always To Blame For Their Problems

MEMRI, The Middle East Media Research Center just recently reported on February 8th, 2008 that the Saudi English- language Arab News published an op-ed by Dania Al-Ghalib titled, "The Saudi Woman Is Always Guilty." This article was op-ed was published in December 2007 just two months ago.

According to the op-ed Al-Ghalib reasons that Saudi women were not wanted at birth, is guilty if she speaks and guilty if she remains silent. The article continues on to ones horror stating that it is a woman's fault for being raped. But I will stop here, because I have this article here for you to read in its entirety.

This op-ed is an eye opener to say the least and it most definitely depicts the brainwashing of Saudi women from birth that they are of little value and or consequence.

This lends credence to the fact that the degeneration of women in Saudi Arabia is still dictated by a 10th Century mantality and that the women in Saudi Arabia suffer on a daily basis at the hands of their male dominant counterparts. Sadly many of these women believe the following just as does its author. The following according to MEMRI is how the op-ed originally appeared.

"The Saudi woman can be blamed for living in a male-dominated society that opposes many rights for women despite the fact that the Prophet (peace be upon him) - the best of all humans - consulted a woman and listened to her advice. The Saudi woman is guilty of living in a society that confuses tradition with Islamic obligations, and idolizes what it sees as the latter to the extent that when she wants to discuss or object, she is accused of rebellion. Her fault is that society considers her an item of her guardian's property. He can do anything he desires with her without asking her opinion or even listening to her.

"The Saudi woman is born unwanted. Everybody wants a male child rather than a female one.

"She is Guilty If She Remains Silent and Guilty If She talks"

"This innocent creature is forcibly taught what is prohibited and shameful before even knowing how to speak. She is guilty if she remains silent and guilty if she talks.

"She is guilty if she is divorced and guilty if she cleaves to her husband and children when someone tries unjustifiably to destroy her marriage. Her only refuge is prison, where she has the right to say no. She has lost all her rights and has fought for one that allows her to live only behind bars. Her sin is that she tried to protect her marriage and family. But traditions and customs challenged and destroyed her attempts.

"The Saudi Woman is Guilty for Being Raped"

"The Saudi woman is guilty for being raped, in darkness or in daylight, because her society wants her locked in, producing legal children and never leaving her house unless she is dead and of course accompanied by a guardian. She is guilty when brutal beasts tear her body and soul apart, threatening her with weapons and defamation because society believes she subjected herself to them and she deserves what happens to her.

"She is guilty because society prohibits her from driving and forces her to live at the mercy of a foreign driver. He might rape her one day or make money by allowing others to rape her, and then she will be the one who is blamed for having put herself in such position and went out with a driver without her legal guardian.

"The Saudi Woman is Guilty Because She is Part of her Guardian's Property"

"The Saudi woman is guilty because she is part of her guardian's property even when he is a criminal, serving time in jail and he marries her off to his colleague in prison who is awaiting execution. Society is aware of this and apparently sees no harm in such. In fact, the community blessed this marriage and arranged for them to be legally alone together. And the woman's fault is that she is the daughter of a criminal.

"She is Guilty when Others Confiscate Her Property... by Impersonating Her - And Her Greatest Sin is that Her Identity Stems From Her Guardian"

"The Saudi woman is guilty of being haunted by spinsterhood and not accepting misyar and all other types of male-invented marriages. She is also guilty if she accepts being abandoned by her husband when he feels tired and bored with her and wants a new wife. She is guilty if she objects to anything and her legal guardian beats her until he breaks her ribs or permanently disfigures her. His right is to beat her and make her obey and listen, even if that means deforming her physical features as a woman and taking away her beauty.

"She is guilty when others confiscate her property or real estate by impersonating her, and her greatest sin is that her identity stems from her guardian. The Saudi woman is always guilty and anyone who thinks of dealing with her humanely is a criminal."

Not once in this op-ed is Islam mention or how their religion is the reason their theocracy is thriving - worse, that it is Islam that epitomizes this mindset and that in the Hadith's, which outline the life of their Prophet Mohammed - it was his sick lifestyle that was the foundation of this mindset.

There is no humanity for Saudi women and that is because Islam is about dominance of all things woman. To control women they must demoralize them, intimidate them, and make them as the dogs in the street - otherwise the men could not justify this inhumane behavior. Suffice to say that it is the Koran and Hadith's that permits such treatment of women and demands of the men to enforce this treatment of women.

The Saudi women live behind the veil, literally.

Obama and his dangerous religion

I would prefer that Obama were a Muslim rather than a member of the the overly racist Trinity United Church of Christ. At least then the general population would have some misgivings about his loyalty to the United States. But as a seemingly normal Christian, he will be viewed as quite safe by the the vast majority of clueless Americans.

BUSH TO G-D: IN YOUR EYE G-D

Mr. Bush has alienated the State of Israel to the point that there is a deep seeded resentment of him amongst the Israeli people. It is no longer just Condi Rice that is adorned with Israeli admonitions it now includes Mr. Bush along with his other cohort Ehud Olmert.

Bush has vowed to return to Israel in May to check if the government there is listening and heeding his threats, warnings, and implementing his plans - plans for a nation that he is not the leader of. Bush told the Kenesset to heed to the plan and stick by Olmert and help him to achieve the two state solution.

Who in the hell does Bush think he is? No one died and named him god. The one and only G-d, which is the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were bequeath the land by G-d and told to never divide this land or woe to the man that does.

Woe to George Bush. He has gone farther than Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton combined. He called Bethlehem Palestine. Since when in the annals of history has Bethlehem ever been in Palestine? Never. Bush is rewriting history and claiming that to impliment his plan properly he must come back to Israel to be sure that it will succeed. Why?

Bush does not care about Israel or what happens to our beloved friend. He made an unprecidented arms deal with Saudi Arabia, a nation that has and still is sponsoring terror. Bush is demented.

The Democrats were and still are right about Bush and how arrogant he is - how unapproachable he is. Bush is on a mission, his own - to give his final fight - Israel - a conclussion he believes will leave a legacy of greatness that follows him in the annals of time at Israels expense.

Bush is from the state of Texas as we are all aware and within Texas there are many great Bible preachers, teachers and pastors. One of those Pastors is John Hagee who regulary visits and supports Israel for many years now. John Hagee has met with Bush on more than one occassion as governor and president. I am sure John Hagee has warned Bush about dividing up the land - what the Bible says about dividing up the land - what will happen to the man and his nation that interferes with G-d’s land and His chosen people.

It is obvious that Bush is an arrogant fool that holds his hand held high with his index finger pointing not only in our faces or the Israelis faces, but pointing straight into the eye of G-d. Bush is demanding of Israel to sell herself out, he most certainly is selling out the United States, but most importantly and very arrogantly Bush is telling G-d, “In your eye G-d.”

UK Bishop warns of no-go zones for non-Muslims

This story is everywhere on the blogosphere: Islamic extremists have created "no-go" areas across Britain where it is too dangerous for non-Muslims to enter - The Rt Rev Michael Nazir-Ali, the Bishop of Rochester and the Church's only Asian bishop, says that people of a different race or faith face physical attack if they live or work in communities dominated by a strict Muslim ideology. Regular readers of mine will not be surprised, rather they already have been told by me that this is what we can expect of Muslim infestations in Western countries. I should point out that these areas in the UK are not populated mostly by extremists. These are areas where mostly moderate Muslims live. There are too few extremists around to make an area into a Muslim zone. But once there are enough normal Muslims to get a critical mass, then the extremists can take over and control the rest. The poor, hard-working, decent Muslims are unable to control the terrorists in their midst and we end up with the situation described by the Bishop. This has already happened in many cities in Europe.

Bethlehem

In the West Bank there is a town named Bethlehem. According to my faith this is the town that my savior, Jesus Christ, was born. Because of this, I hold a personal link to this town. A town I have never been to and probably never will get to visit. The Jews hold Jerusalem holy. I also hold Jerusalem holy because this is the location that Jesus was crucified. However, there would have been no crucifixion without a birth. Therefore I hold Bethlehem closer to my heart.

The mohammedans have Mecca and Medina and have tried to take Jerusalem as theirs. I believe that Jerusalem is the home of G-d's chosen people, the Jews. Jerusalem is the heart of the nation of Israel both figuratively and literally. I believe the mohammedans have attempted to steal Jerusalem as a way to spit in the face of the Israelis. Nothing more and nothing less. The mohammedans have no true link to Jerusalem. Mohammed tried to persuade the Jews that he was a prophet and was spurned. After realizing that he could not convince them he turned from Jerusalem to Mecca.

Because the mohammedans believe Jews to be infidels and non-believers the mohammedans have attempted to take Jerusalem from the Jews. Over history they have succeeded at times and lost at times. We are presently watching as the mohammedans and a good portion of the world, including certain Israelis, seem willing to hand over Jerusalem to a group of terrorists who would keep Israelis from ever stepping foot in their spiritual home. The mohammedans have control of their "sacred cities" of mecca and medina. The only thing they have to gain from taking Jerusalem is a strategic victory over the Jews. There is nothing spiritual behind the mohammedan attempt. They only wish to destroy the Jews and see taking Jerusalem as a victory in this process.

Now Bethlehem. As I mentioned, Bethlehem is special to the Christians because it is the birthplace of Jesus Christ. I hold it dear because it is the location where the possibility of my own salvation bean. It was in a manger that my believed savior started his life on this earth. It was a humble beginning for a man that would once again face humility at death. From this small town came a gift from G-d.

I now see, and have read for the past few years, that the mohammedans have been chasing Christians out of Bethlehem. It sickens my heart when I see Christians side with mohammedans. The two religions have nothing in common. Christianity came into being when Jesus, a Jew, was born and crucified fulfilling prophesy laid down in Judaic teachings and beliefs. If there is any link among the three major religions it is between Judaism and Christianity. There is no link between Christianity and islam.

Bethlehem is a spiritually significant location for Christians. Just as Jews are willing to fight and die for Jerusalem, so should Christians be apt to do the same for Bethlehem. I also believe Bethlehem to be a vital city for the nation of Israel. It belongs to those who believe in the G-d of the Bible not the followers of the koran. As long as mohammedans have a say about the ongoings within Bethlehem the Christians there will live in fear and oppression.

Christianity and Judaism can live together, in this day and age, despite the theological differences. This is because they believe in the same G-d. They pray to the same G-d. Islamists pray to allah who should never be confused with the G-d of the bible. The G-d f the Bible is involved and consistant. The allah in the koran is diametrically opposed to the G-d of the Bible. Jews would not have Christians living in oppression. Nor would they be treated as second class citizens as they currently are by the mohammedans.

I have prayed for Jerusalem and I pray for Bethlehem. I pray that someone or something will come along and free these two cities from the control of the mohammedans. I pray that G-d would free these cities and provide Israel with the leader needed to defeat these believers of allah. I pray that one day Jews will walk through Jerusalem without fear and that they can be proud that they have attained their entire city back. I also pray that one day Christians can take back the city of Bethlehem and show it off to the world. More importantly, I pray that G-ds will be done in regards to these cities. I pray for a modern Moses, David, or Solomon. I pray for a modern Paul. I pray for G-d to liftup a man who will regain these sacred cities that have served G-d.

They are earthly prayers, I know. G-d will chose when and how his glory is to be displayed. I can only ask that his will be done. I pray that he would once again raise Jerusalem and Bethlehem to their level of spiritual importance. I pray that if I have the ability and character needed, that he would choose me. Whomever my Lord places into this position of responsibility I will support this person with all my means.

A Message of Revolution

We live in a tupsy-turvy world. Good is evil, evil is good, right is wrong, wrong is right, lies are truths, truths are lies. Regardless of one’s political preferences, regardless of one’s religious creed or absence thereof some things must be said and repeated often enough for them to penetrate the collective consciousness. Though I am a proud and staunchly Orthodox Jew, I am compelled to quote words which I consider a true reflection of the world we live in. The excerpt below is taken from the address by Minister Joe Wright at the new session opening of the Kansas House of Representatives in 1996:

We know Your Word says, “Woe to those who call evil good”, [Woe to those who speak of evil as good and of good as evil - my translation of the original Hebrew in Isaiah 5:20] but that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We confess that.

We have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it Pluralism.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery,

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare,

We have killed our unborn and called it choice,

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable,

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem,

We have abused power and called it politics,

We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition,

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression,

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

When Reverend Wright spoke those words one Democrat legislator walked out in disgust, another called him called narrow minded and bigoted. But were they right? Through my posts I have often decried the West’s loss of spirituality and its replacement with valueless values, its replacement with instant gratification that neither lasts nor gratifies.

As the West becomes “enlightened”, as synagogues and churches who preach love remain half empty, mosques with extremist Imams who preach hatred and submission of the West are filled. The West has lost its motivation, it lives in a dream world full of complacency and lack of values. The fight, the thirst for life has left it and been replaced with emptiness. Reverend Wright spoke those words eleven years ago. Their sounds, their truths still ring strong, still seek to awaken to shake out of our comfortable slumber. Truth is often inconvenient, often brutal, but absolutely eternal!

Aldous Huxley once said that speaking the truth is often a revolutionary act. If such is the case I am proud, to have quoted the words above and hope and pray they will penetrate the hearts of the West so we can start the revolution back to our values, back to our civilization, back to true and lasting enlightenment... while we still can!

Christians and Muslims have generally had cordial relations over the years in Gaza, but that relationship has been shaky since Hamas seized control and tensions were exacerbated with the recent death of 32-year-old Rami Ayyad.

Ayyad, a member of the Baptist Church, managed Gaza's only Christian bookstore. In early October, he was found shot in the head, his body thrown on a Gaza street 10 hours after he was kidnapped from the store.

An accounting of the Saudi bucks infused into various universities all around the world has not been forthcoming as to the specificity of the usage of those funds. Isn’t it important to reveal just what impact those billions have had on curriculum and material presented to the next generation of our nation’s leaders?

Read this December 10, 2007 article in the Washington Times. Note that those Saudi bucks may be getting spread around in more places than you’ve heard of! No doubt you’ve heard about Prince Alwaleed’s gift of $20 million each to Georgetown and Harvard universities, but many other institutions have also received substantial amounts of money. Just how is that money being put to use? According to the article (emphases mine),

…Some call the Saudi gift Arab generosity and gratitude for the years American universities have educated the elite of the Arab world. Others say the sheer size of the donations amounts to buying influence and creating bastions of noncritical pro-Islamic scholarship within academia.

“There’s a possibility these campuses aren’t getting gifts, they’re getting investments,” said Clifford May, president of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies. “Departments on Middle Eastern studies tend to be dominated by professors tuned to the concerns of Arab and Muslim rulers. It’s very difficult for scholars who don’t follow this line to get jobs and tenure on college campuses.

“The relationship between these departments and the money that pours in is hard to establish, but like campaign finance reform, sometimes money is a bribe. Sometimes it’s a tip.”

The $40 million gift from the Saudi donor, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, was the latest in a tradition that started in the 1970s — Muslim donors pumping millions of dollars into American universities to fund Islamic studies, hire faculty specialists in Islam and fund books and seminars on the world’s second-largest religion.

At Georgetown, [Prince Alwaleed’s] money was funneled toward its Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, which was quickly renamed the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. The center, part of the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, trains many of America’s diplomats.

…The center’s aim, according to its mission statement, is to “improve relations between the Muslim world and the West and enhance understanding of Muslims in the West.”

The center’s director, John Esposito, a prolific writer and praised by many as being a national authority on the religion, was severely criticized by several scholars for downplaying the threat of Islamic terrorism in the 1990s when he was a foreign affairs analyst for the State Department.

Mr. Esposito, “more than any other academic, contributed to American complacency prior to 9/11,” Martin Kramer, a fellow at the Olin Institute at Harvard, wrote in a Jan. 2, 2006, commentary on his blog, sandbox.blog-city.com.

“[Mr. Esposito has] proved that he’s still a magnet for Arab and Muslim money,” Mr. Kramer wrote. “Prince Alwaleed apparently decided that while Esposito’s reputation may be dented, the professor still has some value in him.”

Mr. Esposito declined to be interviewed for this article but did defend himself in several e-mails.

Mr. Esposito said the number of programs sponsored by his center went from 27 last year to 22 this semester alone. The first of three new faculty, Ibrahim Kalin, a scholar on Sufiism and Islamic philosophy, is slated to come on board next fall.

A month before the gift was publicly announced, Mr. Esposito was one of four persons flanking Prince Alwaleed before a photographer at the George V hotel in Paris. It was then that the prince told Georgetown officials of their $20 million windfall — and that Mr. Esposito would oversee how the money was spent.

“The prince knew very well Georgetown’s in a milieu filled with lobbyists and opinion makers; thus any program of his will exert more influence there than at a university not in a power center like Washington,” Mr. Meyers said. “The grant also gave Esposito a much bigger microphone. When you’ve got a $20 million institute, that amplifies your voice considerably.”

The Saudi Embassy’s press office did not respond to requests for comment on this article, and a spokeswoman for Prince Alwaleed said he was “too busy” to respond.

In 1979, Saudi Aramco World magazine published a list of recent Middle Eastern gifts, including…$750,000 from the Libyan government for a chair of Arab culture at Georgetown University; and $250,000 from the United Arab Emirates for a visiting professorship of Arab history, also at Georgetown.

In 1986, Saudi arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi donated $5 million toward a sports center to be named after him at American University….

There are 17 federally funded centers on American college campuses devoted solely to Middle Eastern studies centers and another 30 to 40 that do not receive federal aid, according to Amy Newhall, executive director of the Middle East Studies Association at the University of Arizona. Not counting several positions at Georgetown University, she estimated at least 10 chaired professorships currently funded by Saudis at major universities.

“With all the talk of the Israel lobby, no one talks about the Saudi lobby,” Mr. Meyers said. “There is no counterweight to Saudi influence in American higher education.”

Indeed, Ain-al-Yaqeen reported that King Fahd has spent “billions of Saudi riyals,” around the world.

“In terms of Islamic institutions, the result is some 210 Islamic centers wholly or partly financed by Saudi Arabia, more than 1,500 mosques and 202 colleges and almost 2,000 schools for educating Muslim children in non-Islamic countries in Europe, North and South America, Australia and Asia,” the paper reported.

Mr. Kramer, also the author of “Ivory Towers on Sand: The Failure of Middle Eastern Studies in America,” says American universities have allowed themselves to be purveyors of Saudi influence and opinion.

“Universities generate ideas, and [Prince Alwaleed] regards one idea — the ‘clash of civilizations” — as positively dangerous to Arabs and Muslims,” he wrote on his Web site, martinkramer.org. “So he has embarked on a grand giving spree, to create academic ‘bridges” between Islam and the West, and specifically between the Arab world and the United States …

“The mind boggles at the possibilities, when you think of the purchasing power of the world’s fifth-richest man,” Mr. Kramer continued. “Of course, this is why we can’t ever expect to get the straight story on Saudi Arabia, Wahhabism and oil from people who operate within Middle Eastern studies. If you want a fabulously wealthy Saudi royal to drop out of the sky in his private jet and leave a few million, you had better watch what you say — which means you had better say nothing.”

Prince Alwaleed, 52, — who slipped from the fifth richest person in 2005 to the 13th this year, according to Forbes magazine — is best known to some Americans as the man who offered $10 million to the victims of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City. That money was rejected by Rudolph W. Giuliani, then the mayor, after the prince scolded the U.S. for favoring Israelis over Palestinians.

In 2002, [Prince Alawaleed] donated $500,000 to the George Herbert Walker Bush Scholarship Fund, established by the Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass. In 2006, he donated $10 million to the Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

He defends such gifts in interviews, saying that he has financed study programs about American culture overseas, including a $10 million gift to found a Center for American Studies at American University in Cairo and $5.2 million for a similar center at American University in Beirut.

Prince Alwaleed’s Cairo and Beirut projects explain American culture, but according to their Web sites, offer no courses in Christianity — America’s majority religion. Meanwhile, typical courses at the Georgetown center are “Islamic Theological Development” and “Islamic Religious Thought and Practice.”

Mark Alexander reminded me yesterday of this little saying: “He who pays the piper calls the tune.” Prince Alawaleed certainly understands the meaning of that proverb, but Western ostriches refuse to pull their heads from the sand.

9/11 is fading into distant memory. We’re lulled into complacency. Meanwhile, Islamification is proceeding quietly as the next generation is being turned into the generation of Islamophilia.

Remember the words of CAIR’s Ibrahim Hooper:

“I wouldn’t want to create the impression that I wouldn’t like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future…But I’m not going to do anything violent to promote that. I’m going to do it through education.”

Saudi is using education as the sword of Islam. And petro-dollars are funding the process.

You will not find, however, any academic institution that will even think of giving back give these 30 talents of petrodollars. OK, so the resulting education may be tinged with a new version of reality and ugly revisionism… but think of the MONEY!!! All those liberal professors, who so despise the West and its values (capitalism, being chief among the seven deadly sins they profess to oppose) , have no compunctions in accepting millions from those whose interest lies far away from and in direct opposition to “liberal arts.” They have no compunctions accepting millions from those whose only interest is to subvert all free speech, all debate, those who seek to silence anyone who dares question why indoctrination suddenly became synonymous with education.

No doubt these useful idiots (who, meanwhile, are laughing all the way to the bank!) will either be among the first victims of the IslamoFascists when they do take over or they will gladly adapt the new religion as they expect to be rewarded by becoming part of the ruling elite. Henry IV, the first Bourbon king of France was a a devout Huguenot before becoming French King. Since France would only have a Catholic on its throne, Henry converted at Ste. Germain L’Auxerrois because - as he put it - “Paris is well worth a mass!” So much for principles and convictions…

King Henry, however, unlike these so called “academics” who specialize in subverting the very process of education, turned out to be one of the best loved French Kings. Henri le Grand - Henry the Great also known by his subjects as Le Bon Roi Henri - The good King Henry, was genuinely interested in the welfare and religious freedom of his people. His reign became known for its prosperity and relatively peaceful times. Today’s “academics,” however, are much more interested in the pursuit of their particularly leftist agenda than in anything that might remotely resemble education.

Each of these illustrious professors boasts of his/her Marxist and anti Western ideas, but… as they decry capitalism it is they who embraced and adapted every evil deed and method for which the early capitalist moguls - known as the Robber Barons - became infamous. The more things change the more they stay the same! Interesting how today’s Marxist left has adapted the most disgusting and reactionary, greedy, methodology of early capitalism and became the Robbers of Education!

10 Palestinians Killed for Every Israeli is intolerable

There are approximately 90 to 125 times as many Muslims as there are Jews [1.61 Billion Muslims to approximately 12.8 to 18.2 million Jews depending on one's definition of a Jew] so if every time Muslims picked a fight with Jews only 10 Muslims got killed for every 1 Jew that would be very unfair and intolerable to say the least. No, if Jews want to survive there has to be at least a 100 dead Muslims for every 1 Jew in order for the fight to be fair.

I mention this because one of my readers left this comment: "Since Sept 29, 2000 the number of Israeli children killed by Palestinians is 199. The number of Palestinian children killed by Israelis is 971."

What I don't understand is how numbers alone have any meaning. If Palestinians killed 199 Jewish children then, to be fair, Israel should have killed at least 18,000 Palestinian children, to do less is a losing battle given the huge numbers of Muslims in the world and their reproduction rate, the highest in the world. Israel could kill a million Muslims a month without putting a dent in total Muslim population growth. But why mention at all that 971 Palestinian children were killed over 7 years, as if the death of children, their own or others, means anything to Palestinians.

Thank G-d for the Naval Academy

In the not so distant future the name Annapolis will become synonymous with futility and failure. It will be be found with names like Oslo, Dayton, and various other city names that have had the misfortune of hosting a self described peace process between the Israelis and the "palestinians". If it weren't for the existence of the Naval Academy, Annapolis would have no positive reference.

Lets look at the major roadblocks of peace between Israel and the "palestinians".

1. Israel wants to be recognized as a Jewish state.

Based on the history of this planet there should be no argument against this. Historically the Jews haven't been treated very well by their host countries. Why not provide them a place of their own. It would only make sense that this home be the actual location they consider home. Mahmoud Abbas cannot go through with this because he would lose all backing from his present enablers. Though this list of enablers is shrinking, he can't afford to lose anymore.

2. United Jerusalem

Anytime islamists have control of the holy sites, the Jews seem to get left out. Jerusalem is the heart of Israels identity. Islamists didn't give a hoot about Jerusalem until recent history. This concern on the part of mohammedans for Jerusalem is purely political and a power play. JERUSALEM IS ISRAEL.

3. Stop terror attacks

Mahmoud Abbas has no control over this whatsoever. Hamas will continue to agitate and attack Israeli's and other defined infidels every opportunity they get. Before the previous two even get mentioned, this is the major show stopper. Hamas will control the West Bank soon enough. When that happens, all the propping up of Abbas by the West will mean nothing and prove the western diplomats to be as ignorant as us average people already believe them to be. Maybe at this point Ehud Olmert will finally be out on his ear. I would hate to be either Mr. Olmert or Mr. Barak when they stand in front of the creator and have to answer why they were willing to hand G-d's temple over to the mohammedans.

4. Bash and Momo

Iran and Syria will never allow for the peaceful existence of Israel. They have sworn to wipe Israel from the maps and eradicate the nation from the planet. Yet the west still attempts to keep them involved. This will be the downfall of the west. Israel will pay the initial cost.

Despite the rhetoric, there is no equivalence to what is happening in the Israel -"palestinian" conflict that would put it on par with apartheid. Only an historical moron would claim so. Despite the sympathies of Ms. Rice, here experiences as a child in the segregated south has nothing to do with the situation the "palestinians" have put themselves in.

The Annapolis conference will lead nowhere but to more bloodshed and more war. Too bad politicians aren't forced to live like the rest of us. They, like actors in Hollywood, get to pretend they are smarter than they really are. They get to ignore reality and throw their farcical fantasies into action. It is the rest of us day-to-day- schmoes that have top face the consequences.

The Face of the Enemy

Islam is not a religion as religions are understood to be by everyone except muslims.

Islam is a way of life. This sets it apart from true religions, which are sets of beliefs dealing with spirituality and morality but separate from government.

This is important to understand. Islam encompasses everything from politics to the law and courts of law to personal dealings and personal behavior and includes the way people are required to think, dress and act. There is no personal choice in Islam.

Punishments for minor infractions of the law can range from being lashed with a whip, having hands and feet cut off with a large knife, having the head hacked off to being slowly killed by stoning with small stones while buried to ones neck.

Islam requires that all people on the Earth must either be muslims, take a dhimmi status of 4th class citizens with no rights, or die. Leaving Islam for another faith is not allowed.

Muslims have been emigrating to despised Western nations all over Europe and the Americas. The majority of them simply are escaping the miserable conditions of their homelands, as Islam promotes poverty rather than prosperity among the populace, but they have no respect for the laws of their new hosts and do not integrate into the new societies. They are taught by their Koran to hate "infidels", that it is their duty to lie, deceive, cheat and rob them in the name of Islam. Muslims are forbidden to be friends with "infidels" but are required to pretend friendship.

This also is important: Muslims start out from birth in a society totally dominated by Islam and are taught that all other people, particularly Jews, are "infidels", non-believers and therefor are pigs undeserving of life. Islam is the only thing that they know and it rules every aspect of their life from morning until night, from birth until death. They are the most brainwashed, indoctrinated people on the planet and the most afraid of their own faith. Muslims live in fear which translates to hate for non-muslims. Islam rules by hate and terror. Every muslim is a potential terrorist.

"It is not murder to kill an infidel. It is the path to Paradise."

Nations that allow muslims to enter their countries are inviting their own deaths. The muslims will maintain a low posture until their numbers grow large enough to take over. Then they act to force Islam on the population and before long another country has become Islamic.

That mosque being built in your neighborhood, or the one already there, has only one purpose, which is to transform your neighborhood into an Islamic enclave. Neighborhood by neighborhood, city by city, state by state, this is the way the muslims plan to conquer America and all the world.

Do not allow muslims to live in your neighborhood. Don't allow them to have mosques there. Don't be nice to them or try to be their friends. Use their own strategies against them. Behave threateningly toward them, picket them, tell them to go back where they came from. Make them as uncomfortable and as unhappy as possible. Have them investigated and prosecuted wherever possible. Sue them in civil court for each and every trespass. Wear clothing depicting cartoon images of Mohammed. Accost them in the streets with microphones, video cameras and embarassing questions.

If their cars and homes and mosques should be repeatedly vandalized or destroyed, this would certainly be a shame, although some people may actually resort to this in defense of their lives and country. If they were to be assaulted on the streets the way they are now assaulting native Europeans, it would of course be against the law.

It's us or them.

End the Arab occupation of the West Bank

In 2004, Israel assassinated Hamas leader Ahmed Yasin. All members of the UN Security Council except America approved a resolution condemning Israeli raid.
In 2005, police of Saudi Arabia, a major US ally and weapons buyer, arrested forty Christians in a private house in Riyadh for non-Islamic worship. The Saudi action caused no official condemnation.

For if the nations of the world should say to Israel, “You are robbers, for you conquered by force the lands of the seven nations [of Canaan],” they will reply, “The entire earth belongs to the Holy One, blessed be He; He created it and gave it to whomever He deemed proper When He wished, He gave it to them, and when He wished, He took it away from them and gave it to us.” Rashi on Genesis 1:1.

It is simplistic to imagine that Olmert rushes for Palestinian statehood. Olmert is a master of political intrigues and unfulfilled promises. He repeatedly promised to remove checkpoints, but most are still in place. He also vowed to remove the outposts, but preserves them for two years now. He faces a powerful peacenik lobby of self-hating Jews bent on destroying the Jewish state. They strive to give the Temple Mount to Muslims and effectively relinquish Israeli control over the Old City of Jerusalem. Divesting of the Temple Mount has nothing to do with helping the Palestinians, but with crushing Jewish nationalism. The unnecessary destruction of Gush Katif was the first step. The defeatist camp successfully destroyed a huge community of Jewish zealots; until now, most cannot recover from psychological trauma and have no place to live in. Giving away the Temple Mount, the Old City, Hebron, and Judea will extinguish Jewish hope for returning to the Promised Land. Tel Aviv beaches lack biblical significance. Jews conquered Jewish land and gave it away; no nation can recover from such a shame for generations. The leftists need to give away the Temple Mount to assure their continued rule over demoralized, ideologically emptied Jews.

What is the alternative? Palestinians won’t sign a peace deal with us unless we give them the Temple Mount. Fine, forget the Palestinians; why do we need peace with that primitive crowd? An alternative to peace is pacification, and Israel has enough tanks to pacify the hostile mobs. Palestinians fight for the Temple Mount; conservative Jews can fight, too. With the similar methods. More efficiently. The Knesset members who consider voting for relinquishing Jerusalem to Arabs must understand the resultant mortal danger to themselves and their families. Police won’t protect them forever, and cannot protect thousands of their relatives and associates. Voting for relinquishing Jerusalem to Arabs should be a suicide, literally.

But we cannot rule the millions of Palestinians indefinitely. Nor do we need to. The number of Palestinians is vastly exaggerated both for political and economic (UN subsidies) reasons. The real number is closer to two millions. Polls indicate that at least a third of them want to emigrate, including 70% of the young. Leftist Israel actually impedes their emigration instead of wholeheartedly encouraging it. Being helped with visas and resettlement bonuses, young Palestinians would leave the West Bank and Gaza an aging society, dying out in the matter of a generation. Blockades and curfews, limited water supply and closure of Israeli markets would force working-age Palestinians to emigrate.
Even now, one percent of Palestinians live on the 58% of land in Judea and Samaria. The land is empty, prone to Israeli annexation without significant dislocation of the Palestinians.

But the world, what would it say about Israel? It will keep saying the same things Jews should have gotten used to during the two millennia.

Muslim Games

When I was a child (1950) I was in thrall to movies like The Prince Who Was a Thief and Thief of Bagdad. While the latter won Academy Awards for art direction, color cinematography, and special effects, the former would be practically unwatchable today.

One of the reasons children can enjoy films like The Prince Who Was a Thief is that children are not critical; they find no need to notice Tony Curtis' horrible New York accent which is rather jarring in an Arabic setting. The plot is so-so but the acting is pretty horrible for sophisticated audiences. But I loved it. Children watching movies is rather like liberals when they consider Islamic atrocities. The left will accept any Muslim barbarity or attack against the West as if it were an inconsequential plotline in a film. After all, no one who watched War of the Worlds actually believed we were in any danger of attack from Martians.

In the same manner Liberals will treat factual news reports of Muslim attacks against the West as "Bush Fear-Mongering". And in the few instances when they have to admit that something horrible happened, such as the WTC attack, because it's impossible to deny the hole in the ground, they deny Muslim responsibility and instead blame it on Bush himself bringing it down, or if that doesn't fly, that Bush knew about it in advance and did nothing just so he could attack Iraq two years later knowing full well that Saddam would refuse at the peril of invasion to let weapons inspectors in (how did Bush know that Saddam wouldn't blink? Crafty devil that Bush), or if that's too far-fetched, Bush had the Mossad do the demolition, etc. ad nauseum. Just like little children who want to deny that they raided the cookie jar and instead blame the missing cookies on elves or aliens from another planet, so too will Liberals spin the most outrageous contortions of fantasy rather than accept the simple, unspun reality: Islam is evil and a danger to the Western World. Those who disagree cannot give real world examples to counter that argument and so throw up accusations of racism or bigotry. How would they have sounded 80 years ago?

PKK is the Kurdish Worker’s Party that adopted violence in its struggle against Turkey. As the Turkish Parliament recently voted to authorize a limited invasion into Northern Iraq to fight the PKK militias, one can see the rising shadows of two hostile regimes in the region, eager to see a NATO member, Turkey, eventually clashing with the United States through their local allies in Iraq. Indeed, the Iranian and Syrian regimes have been pushing the precarious mechanisms of a Turkish military intervention into Northern Iraq for a while now. Logically, a collapse of security in the most secure part of Iraq would lead to a crumbling of the military stabilization of the country, a chief objective of US plans in Iraq.

But the Iran plans for Iraq, which I have analyzed in a previous article, consist of three types of destabilization: An Iranian push in the south, a Syrian opening for the Jihadists in the center, and dragging Turkey to a dogfight in the mountains of the north.

In order to launch the third leg preemptively into Iraqi Kurdistan, Tehran and Damascus have been pushing all the right buttons for the confrontation. Iran’s shelling of villages in the northern part of Iraqi Kurdistan over the past months aimed at encouraging Turkey to do the same.

Opening salvos by the Ayatollahs are to test the Kurdish and US reactions. Moreover, Iran’s Pasdaran - the Revolutionary Guard that provides training and support to terrorist groups throughout the region and abroad - is said to have infiltrated some circles within the PKK, since the latter was based in Syria a few years ago. The PKK suddenly has been waging inexplicable operations inside Eastern Turkey with a new energy, after years of calm. Sources believe the PKK was manipulated by both Iran and Syria into these terror acts on Turkish soil while the official bases of the group are on Iraqi soil. Hence the attacks triggering Turkish anger and responses may have been manipulated by the “axis.”

But the Syrian regime has another card it could have played. According to well informed sources in the region, and not to the surprise of experts, the Alawite regime in Syria (Alawites are important to the leadership of Syria, as President Bashar al-Assad and his father, Hafez are Alawite) has had good relations with Alawite officers inside the Turkish armed forces. The “Alawite connection” may have been activated to encourage a military response and incursion into northern Iraq. But nevertheless, the Assad regime and the Turkish Islamist Government - reinforced by the last Presidential election in Ankara - have a joint objective interest in weakening the US presence in Iraq.

Assad thinks that he can help create a major Turkish-Iranian-Syrian alliance against the Kurds in Northern Iraq. And by the same logic, the Kurds, solid US allies, will be facing another formal ally of Washington on Iraqi soil: Turkey. The plan is to drag the Turkish Army (traditionally not inclined to find itself face to face with its major ally) to enter a territory where “terrorists are based,” but where they could be indistinguishable from those Kurdish Peshmergas who are the backbone of the new post-Saddam Iraq. The rest can be guessed.

As the “axis” is using all its cards to crumble Iraq’s and Lebanon’s democracies, the Kurds in Northern Iraq should have acted quickly and strategically. There shouldn’t have been any PKK bases in their areas because these are a recipe for disaster.

The situation in Iraq as a whole is still complex, precarious and explosive, despite the advances made by the new US military plans, including the surge. The north must remain stable and secure and, above all, at peace with the only “NATO” border it has. The other frontiers Iraqi Kurdistan has are with the Pasdarans and the Syrian Baath. Both want the new Iraq’s head.

Instead of playing charms with Tehran and Damascus, the Kurdistan city of Soleimaniye must reinforce its own deterring force and maintain stability and peace on its northern border with Turkey. Knowing all too well that the new Islamist Government in Ankara is shifting the grounds inside the modernist Kemalist Republic, Iraq’s Kurdish leadership mustn’t offer any reason for a Turkish adventure in their areas.

Hence, it is recommended that the Kurdish leaders of Iraq be the ones to reign in the PKK to avoid having the Turkish Army crossing the borders. The US can - and should - broker arrangements between the Iraqi Kurds and the Turkish military to avoid the rise of an anti-Kurdish Triangle in the region.

The PKK has a bloody history and long enmity with the Turks, when the latter finally managed to neutralize it, its leadership fled to Syria where they found ready asylum (as did countless other terrorist groups). It was obvious Syria was no friend of Turkey. Yet, considering that politics makes strange bedfellows, suddenly the two countries may find a common interest… While the PKK has been a scourge to Turkey and deserve to be destroyed, the Syrian/Iranian axis is manipulating them into a situation where they may just be intrumental in tearing up the traditional Turkish/American alliance.

Such a breakup would be a powerful boost for Assad Jr. and his puppeteer, Ahmedinajad. It might also explain the timing of the failed congressional non-binding resolution labeling the almost 100 year old events that murdered over a million Armenians, as “genocide.” Does anyone believe that Pelosi et al, do not understand that such a resolution would drive a wedge between the US and one of its most formidable allies in the region? At a time when the Iraq War is draining such tremendous resources from the US, at a time when it needs the friendship of everyone that cares to be on its side, what is the point of antagonizing a friend?

The answer, gentle reader, is blowing in the wind! The answer lies in the malodorous fishy love fest between Pelosi and Assad earlier this year. In an effort to ensure that America does not win in Iraq (ann American victory which would then destroy the Democrat Party) Nanci and Bashaar (they do make such a lovely couple, don’t they?) have united to destabilize Iraq even further. She hailed Assad, at the time, as a someone who wants to bring peace and progress to the region, by raising this political pariah into world statesman class. Pelosi is directly responsible for the sufferings of Lebanese and the systematic murder of its anti-Syrian leadership; she is directly responsible for the sufferings and poverty of the Syrian people controlled by a ruthless dictator. She is also psychologically reinforcing those groups that work hard for chaos in Iraq, those groups that murder Sunnis, that murder Shiites and cause the death of American soldiers there. All for the party, none of it for the good of the country Madame Speaker is an elected official of.

When what is good for America suddenly collides with what is best for one of its political parties, perhaps it is time for the country to unmask a leadership that carouses with internationally known political vermin, whose very agenda is the destruction of America. Americans, regardless of whether they approve or disapprove of the war in Iraq, must realize that today’s Democrat Party does not have the country’s interest at heart.

Nay, the Democrats today are hard at work finding and pursuing every venue that can make the US look bad. Why? So that people disillusioned with the Republicans will instead put the Democrats back in power… regardless of the bloodshed the latter are encouaging and facilitating. The cynicism, the total disregard for America’s interest, the fact that they are hard at work to humiliate our country, should be ample proof of their moral bankruptcy and intellectual dishonesty. Will America wake up in time and deal the Democrats the political death they rightfully earned? Until then, Turkey is being manipulated by Iran and Syria into a confrontation with the US. All this with the tacit support of Pelosi, Reed and the rest of that gang.

Muslims were enslaving black Africans long before any slave ships sailed for the New World. Muslims were taking and making slaves all over the lands they had conquered. Later, when slave ships were loaded with black slaves, often, a Muslim slave broker had the human cargo all ready to go. American slavers rarely had to go into inland to capture slaves, they were already waiting there, courtesy of some Muslim ruler, and/or slave broker! In many cases, if the black slaves were not sent to the New World, they were sent to the Mideast to be enslaved by Arabs, or kept by other black Muslims as slaves.

Israel - The Safest Place in the world for the Baha'is

When the President of Iran proclaims that there is religious harmony in Iran and that the mission of all religions is the same as they all come from the same source, the Western media fails to mention the persecution of the Baha'is in Iran, the largest religious minority in that country. Baha’is have been targets of officially-sanctioned discrimination and violence since the religion began there in the mid-nineteenth century.

Before the Iranian Revolution in 1979 in the city of Shiraz, Iran, there was a house that belonged to the Bab, the first of the two Baha'i prophets; and in that house there was a holy room filled with artifacts belonging to the Bab. This was the most sacred site for the Baha'is.

Muslim Women Slaves in Denial

Denial is a defense mechanism for those who, when faced with a fact that is too painful to accept, reject it outright and insist that it cannot be true despite overwhelming evidence. This is most plainly seen among those of the Muslim faith. I will for a moment ignore the vile Muslim practice of willful deceit or al Taqiyya such as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's statement yesterday, "If the US withdraws from Iraq, good things will happen. I believe that the Iraqi people can rule themselves." The Iranian President isn't in denial; he doesn't believe this any more than he believes in the Holocaust. Liberals, however, who believe his statement are, in fact, in denial.

A Muslim female reader left this response to my article The Subjugation of Jewish Women:

This is the most racist site i've ever seen! Muslim women wear hijab because they want to be seen as a person not a sex object! Another thing muslim women get a quarter of the inherittence because in islam the husband has to pay all the bills and barely has anything for himself. the wife can do whatever she wants with her money and doesn't have to get near the bills unless she wants too. your a racist bigot with a head full of shit, at least muslims don't massacer innocent children and infants! maybe you should actully ask a muslim if you have questions! Don't just swallow the garbage the media gives you! go to a masjid and you'll see that women get better treatment than men!

Peace doesn't come through withdrawal

Arabs will not decrease violence to allow Israel for honorary withdrawal from the West Bank. Just like the Jewish fighters haunted the British in Palestine in 1947, Arabs will continue killing Jews even though Israel evacuates Gaza and the West Bank. Diplomats like Peres cannot understand why Arabs keep on killing Jews even in the face of diplomatic surrender. Simple: Arabs correctly view their victory as the product of fighting rather than diplomacy. Add their hatred of Jewish occupiers. Arabs will continue killing the Jews until the last Jew leaves their land – which is not limited to the West Bank. The peace process only prompts the Arabs to kill the retreating enemy. Arab mujahedeen similarly flocked to Afghanistan after the Soviets announced their withdrawal.

The Golan Heights show how simple the peace process really is. The hotly contested Golan are the safest part of Israel. No terrorists cross from Syria. Sneaking through the hapless peacekeepers is not a big deal. The desire to confront Israel is there: recall a constant stream of guerrillas from Egypt during cease-fire. Syria has the necessary prerequisites for guerrilla warfare with Israel: strong intelligence, zealots, small arms, and Hezbollah and Hamas expertise. Yet Syria refrains from launching guerrillas into Israel. Syria fears Israeli reprisals. Israel attacked Syrian aircraft on several occasions during cease-fire, and overall proved capable and willing to take the war into Syria. Thus, Syria distances itself from guerrilla activity.

IDF mapped hundreds of buildings used by Hamas, PIJ, Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, and other factions. Aggressively destroying them will go a long toward pacifying the terrorist nest.

Extraverted and passionate Arabs recall Azeris rather than Muslim mountaineers. Eager to establish their social stance but unable to do so by rational means, Arabs resort to heated arguments, bullying, and spontaneous violence. They are not quiet, thorough, and dispassionate killers like mountaineer Muslims. Arabs fight fiercely at first only, and only for short time. Countered with cruel force or ignored, they cease. Concessions – mini-victories – prop their pride and push to continue. Counter-intuitive as that may sound, concessions lead to no peace. Historically, too, peace negotiations between nations commenced near the war' end. Negotiations during the war embolden aggressor and suggest him to persist in violence.

B. Yes. According to the official version of history, CIA aid to the Mujahadeen began during 1980, that is to say, after the Soviet army invaded Afghanistan, 24 Dec 1979. But the reality, secretly guarded until now, is completely otherwise Indeed, it was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul.And that very day, I wrote a note to the president in which I explained to him that in my opinion this aid was going to induce a Soviet military intervention.

The day that the Soviets officially crossed the border, I wrote to President Carter. We now have the opportunity of giving to the USSR its Vietnam war. Q: And neither do you regret having supported the Islamic fundamentalism, having given arms and advice to future terrorists?
B: What is most important to the history of the world? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some stirred-up Moslems or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war? [Notice he really doesn’t answer the question - Drake]
Q: Some stirred-up Moslems? But it has been said and repeated Islamic fundamentalism represents a world menace today.
B: Nonsense! It is said that the West had a global policy in regard to Islam. That is stupid. There isn’t a global Islam. Look at Islam in a rational manner and without demagoguery or emotion. It is the leading religion of the world with 1.5 billion followers. But what is there in common among Saudi Arabian fundamentalism, moderate Morocco, Pakistan militarism, Egyptian pro-Western or Central Asian secularism? Nothing more than what unites the Christian countries.

Well, Christians aren’t demanding that non-Christians convert or die, are they?

Whew - Brzezinski is certainly either detached from reality or spinning answers to downplay just how badly their covert operation ultimately affected the U.S. and the rest of the world two decades later. Nor did this scheme by Carter and Brzezinski do anything to help Carter win a second term; huh - interesting isn’t it? Not really.

I don’t know that you can tie a war between Russia and Afghanistan, clandestinely instigated by Carter, Brzezinski and the CIA, to the ultimate breakup of the Soviet empire. This alone is not the reason for the breakup of the Soviet Union. There were several other factors contributing to it, perhaps the largest factor being the state of the Russian economy.

Another factor contributing to the disillusionment of the Russian State is, without a doubt, the October 1986 Ronald Reagan - Mikhail Gorbachev summit held at Reykjavik, Iceland The Carter-Brzezinski plan may have, in some small way, set the stage for what was to happen. But its certainty can only be answered with a “maybe”, and it’s difficult to qualify and quantify a “maybe”.

Giving Russia “its own Vietnam”, coupled with Carter’s lack of support for the Shah of Iran, certainly didn’t help promote or foster any goodwill between Muslims and Western countries.

Had Carter and Brzezinski’s “secret plan” been concocted and implemented under a Republican Administration, somehow I think that Democrats and Liberals would make a big deal out of it - and rightly so - as a defining moment in U.S. policy failure that set the stage for the uprising of Islamic sponsored terrorism.

The cynicism is appalling, but such is politics. It does, however, show that those who blindly hate Bush for the death he brought on with Iraq War should really put the blame squarely on the shoulders where it belongs… Jimmy Carter. The fact they don’t merely makes it obvious what ignorant blind sheep, the left are. The follow the diktats of arrogant windbags , a la Chomsky, who made hatred of America fashionable.

Even if Carter had a noble intent in bringing Russian Communism to its knees (rather doubtful, given some of his own words and policies), neither he nor Brzezinski bothered to analyze the long term effects of their policies… Hence today’s Islamic threat to the West, the war in Iraq, the war in Afghanistan, the rise of Salafism throughout Africa and Europe can be layed at the feet of these two idiots who wittingly or unwittingly greatly contributed to the conflagrations facing the world today. “There isn’t a global Islam.” Indeed, Zbigniew your brilliant and blatant disregard for the facts is either the product of political blindness or untruth! Ah, but there is global Zionism and global Christianity and they are the real threats to the West, right Jimmy?!?!?

And yet, Jimmy, America’s most globally derided president in his time, is a hero to the Left who blame Bush for the policies started by their peanut brained champion! It is a measure of an individual’s knowledge, a measure of the person’s character, a measure of one’s probity who he or she looks up to and follows. I tremble for America and the West…

September 16, 2007 (RFE/RL) — The recent arrest in Vienna of three alleged Al-Qaeda sympathizers — all Austrian citizens — has again raised concerns across Europe about the threat posed by homegrown Islamic extremists.

Edwin Bakker, head of the Netherlands Institute of International Relations and an expert on the subject, spoke with RFE/RL correspondent Valentinas Mite about the threat of Islamist terrorism in Europe and about why some Europeans choose to convert to radical Islam.

RFE/RL: There are millions of Muslims in Europe who have either migrated to the continent or are the children of earlier migrants. In their overwhelming majority, they have no connection to extremism. But a few appear to be turning to radical brands of Islam. Who are they?

Edwin Bakker: [They are] youngsters who are attracted to a very strict interpretation of Islam, a very militant Islam, partly as a consequence of discrimination, their backward socioeconomic position, but most of all by their search for identity. They are in Europe. They are very much integrated — they speak Dutch, Danish, German or whatever [is] the language of their country, but they are not accepted as Dutch, Danish, German, etc. So many of them are seeking a new identity as being a Muslim, not a Moroccan, not a Turk or whatever. They go and look for material on the Internet and they find this very radical and very appealing Salafi stream of Islam, which is very strict, very extreme.

RFE/RL: The problem of religious radicalism does not seem to exist among other immigrant groups, like the Chinese or Vietnamese communities. What makes people with Islamic roots potentially more radical than other migrants?

Bakker: There is this idea in the air, there is this hype, there is this 9/11 appeal to youngsters; this ideology is there. And it is not the case for China. If you are Chinese in Europe, you still can be proud to be from China. China does not have this perception [that a] crusade [is being waged] against China or this perception of a fight. These Muslims identify themselves as Muslims and then they identify themselves as victims of aggression against Muslims, for instance in Chechnya, Afghanistan, Iraq. So this identity is linked to identifying with [perceived] fights against Islam.

RFE/RL: But Iranians living in Europe, who are Muslims, seem to integrate well in European society and generally have not isolated themselves as much as people coming from the Middle East or Pakistan. Why is there such a difference?

Bakker: The Iranians who came to Europe are mostly highly educated. So there are many professors, doctors among them. And that is how they integrated better. They integrated into their new communities, communities of scholars, communities [of other professionals], and so on. And their numbers are a little bit smaller so they cannot organize themselves in such close-knit communities. There is also a big difference between Iranians and other [Muslims in Europe], Moroccans and Turks, for example. Most Moroccans [although they live] in Europe [tend to] marry somebody from their [home] village. Iranians marry either Iranians who also fled to Europe or they marry local [Europeans].

RFE/RL: How can you explain the fact that some Europeans by origin are converting to radical brands of militant Islam? Can we speak about some tendencies in this case?

Bakker: We have good contacts with, for instance, local police working in troublesome neighborhoods [in the Netherlands], so they see the same problem among Muslims but also among non-Muslims. This is a sense of [lack] of identity, purpose [in life] — these kind of things. I think that this holds [true] for many Western European countries.

There are also quite a number of women, actually, who convert to Islam. It’s of course something new. It is an underdog religion, so it has an appeal to some people, who are attracted by such a religion, that is so much bashed and therefore perhaps more interesting to them.

RFE/RL: What trends in Islam do converts usually choose?

Bakker: I studied [the cases] of all those [Muslims] who have been arrested and have been convicted of terrorism in Europe and about 5 or 6 percent are converts. Actually, many groups have at least one or two converts among them. In general, there is a problem with converts in that they want to overcompensate for the fact that they are new to a community. They want to be “holier than the pope.” And this is a general phenomenon with radicals or with converts.

RFE/RL: But radicals make up only a very small part of all Muslims. Why don’t more European converts choose mainstream Islam?

Bakker: Because they are new to the religion, they are very susceptible to very radical interpretations. They don’t know the other interpretations. So if you are new to Islam, you are not familiar with the fact that Islam is a very complicated religion, that it has a lot of different approaches. And if you are in the hands of the Salafi — this very fundamental, traditional, puritan group — you have no checks and balances, and there is nobody who would tell you, “But that’s not true.” So you are falling into the hands of the most radical views or radical preachers. So being new to religion also does not give you the mind-set and the knowledge to resist very extreme views.

Disenchantment, low self esteem, and vulnerability are the perfect personality ingredients that Salafists look for in potential converts. By bringing these individuals into a highly disciplined environment, by forcing strict rules of conduct upon those who heretofore had little purpose to their lives, these individuals are given a much craved for sense of belonging and self worth. Such recruits then become as, or more, fanatical than their mentors. What do they get for their troubles? Most are considered fully expendable by the extremists they’ve joined, mere instruments in the furtherance of the group’s agenda. CNN has an article on that very expendability, as evidenced in the case of an idealistic foreign fighter for Al-Qaeda in Iraq:

Failed suicide bomber turns on al Qaeda

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Ahmad al Shayea is the rarest of truck bombers — he survived his suicide mission in Iraq even though the blast from his bomb was strong enough to kill 12 bystanders.

Ahmad al Shayea survived his truck bomb attack, but not without scarring to his face and hands.

Al Shayea, who was disfigured during the attack, claims al Qaeda tricked him into becoming a bomber by asking him to deliver a tanker truck, which they had rigged with a bomb.

“They told me to take it to an address in Baghdad. As soon as I got there the truck exploded,” said the native of Saudi Arabia. He survived by jumping out of the truck.

Al Shayea renounced terrorism and returned to Saudi Arabia, where he works to convince would-be insurgents and terrorists to give up their deadly ways.

“I think God took me out of death to show others what can happen,” he told CNN. “If you join al Qaeda, they will use you, and maybe you will die.” Hear why al Shayea turned his back on al Qaeda »

Al Qaeda propaganda videos glorify so-called foreign fighters in Iraq like al Shayea. It has recruited them from countries all across the Middle East.

Some Iraqi officials say more Saudis than any other nationality have responded to al Qaeda’s call. Saudi officials and the U.S. military deny that claim. But Saudi sources do admit that more than 800 young Saudis have gone to Iraq to fight. That’s far more than the Saudi government has acknowledged until now.

Since 9/11, when 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis, the oil rich kingdom has been accused of spreading radicalism. It’s a claim that stings this longtime U.S. ally, which also finds itself in al Qaeda’s cross hairs.

So now, Saudi officials say they are escalating their fight against homegrown al Qaeda militants. Former insurgents and terrorists like al Shayea are their chief weapon in the battle for the hearts and minds of young Saudis.

“The reality behind it is the religious misunderstanding of Islam, so we have to correct the ideas,” said Dr. Turki Al-Otayan, a psychologist.

Al Shayea and hundreds of other Saudis who were aligned with terrorists are being re-educated in prisons and rehabilitation centers. They are taught that al Qaeda’s emphasis on a violent approach to Islam is wrong.

The program offers early release from prison. It’s available only to captured jihadis who demonstrate a willingness to change over the course of repeated interviews with specialists. Al Shayea said he was questioned by security forces, then clerics, then psychologists.

“They looked at my mood, listened to me. They were nice,” he adds.

Al-Otayan said the review is thorough.

“We make sure he understands dialogue. We make sure he is not just lying. So it is not an easy job I can assure you,” he said.

The Saudi government says more than 1,000 former al Qaeda recruits have been through the program. Seven hundred of them are now free. Critics, mainly from the country’s security forces, fear mistakes could allow some al Qaeda fighters back on the street.

A native of Saudi Arabia, al Shayea was just 19 when he went to Iraq to fight for al Qaeda against American forces. He was angered, he said, by scenes of U.S. troops killings his fellow Muslims.

“I went to Iraq with Saudi men because jihad is a duty for every Muslim,” he said. “I went to Iraq to fight the jihad and kill Americans.”

He was hoping to take up arms against Americans, but said he never envisioned himself as a suicide bomber. After his truck bomb exploded, al Shayea was captured and paraded on Iraqi TV. Burned and bandaged, he was blamed for the death of 12 bystanders. He confessed.

Iraqi security officials deported him to Saudi Arabia. Today, with the backing of the Saudi government, al Shayea gets his anti-al Qaeda message out on fliers that include pictures of him before and after his bombing. He has become the anti-Al Qaeda example.

“I learned my lesson, and others will learn as well,” he said.

It is one thing to take someone, however misguided, who is ready and willing to become a suicide bomber and another very different one to dupe someone into becoming a suicide bomber. The manipulation of the individual is repulsive in both cases! To take an unwitting recruit and send him to a certain death and then claim and praise him as someone who “willingly” gave his life for Allah, shows that these extremists, these hate filled barbarians, not only have contempt for the life of their target(s), but for the life of their own recruits as well. Such cynicism, such disregard for human life, is totally incompatible with the mores of the Western world and yet The Brussels Journal tells us:

The EU Wants to Increase Muslim Immigration and Internet Censorship

A few months ago, the EU’s Justice and Security Commissioner Franco Frattini worried about what to do with illegal immigration. To no-one’s surprise, he appears to have settled for surrendering and making it legal. The skilled glossocrat Frattini has already banned the use of the phrase Islamic terrorism: “You cannot use the term ‘Islamic terrorism,’” he insisted. “People who commit suicide attacks or criminal activities on behalf of religion, Islamic religion or other religion, they abuse the name of this religion.” He now thinks we shouldn’t use the word “immigration,” either, we should talk about “mobility.” Moreover, the “Asian” and “African” immigrants in this case generally come from the predominantly Muslim countries of North Africa and the Middle East, with some additional ones from Pakistan and similar nations. The EU has thus decided to flood Europe with tens of millions of Muslims, at the same time as peaceful Europeans demonstrating against the Islamization of Europe were brutally harassed by the police in the EU capital of Brussels.

In the future, the next time Islamic Jihad terrorists, I mean mobile workers enriching us with their presence when they are not abusing Islam, massacre scores of Europeans, the EU will assure us that they did everything in their power to stop this, and then they will continue facilitating the Islamization of the continent as if nothing has happened. The sensible option would be to point out that we had no Muslim terrorism in Western Europe before we had Muslim immigration. The key to ending Muslim terrorism should then logically be to end and preferably reverse Muslim immigration. The EU’s solution to this is to continue and even increase Muslim immigration while stopping web searches for the word “bomb.” The scary part is that once the infrastructure and principle of Internet censorship has become firmly established, it could be widened to include other kinds of illegal or unwanted activities, for instance “racist” and “xenophobic” websites criticizing Islam or mass immigration. And make no mistake about it: They will do so. They are probably planning this as we speak.

Notice how EU officials announce sweeping and potentially irreversible changes, proclaim that they are “inevitable” and that we may just as well adapt and get used to it. Resistance is futile. This is a lie and it always has been. The entire European Union has been created by such lies, repeated year after year. The gradual destruction of formerly independent nation states was carefully planned and executed, and the introduction of mass immigration from non-Western countries has been and still is a crucial component of this plan. Notice how Frattini specifically singles out Italy, which has so far received less immigration than many other countries in Western Europe, for attention. He also mentions Hungary, one of the newer EU members from the former Communist bloc, meaning that these countries, too, are now supposed to receive a dose of Multicultural diversity, whether they like it or not. The purpose of this immigration, not just between European countries but from Muslim and non-EU countries as well, is to dilute and destroy the established nation states and their culture, until the natives in the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Britain, Spain etc. are too weak and demoralized to resist the creation of a pan-European superstate. Opposition to this policy should be banned as racism and hate speech.

Muslim immigration is destabilizing the entire European continent. Since the EU, which should more properly be called the anti-European Union, is facilitating this, the continued existence of the EU now constitutes a mortal threat to the very survival of European civilization. Every day the EU exists brings Europe one step closer to the grave.

EU told to accept 20m migrant workers

Europe must relax its immigration controls and open the door to an extra 20m workers during the next two decades, the European Union’s justice chief will say on Friday. Franco Frattini, justice commissioner, is to tell the bloc’s immigration ministers in Lisbon that the EU should stop erecting barriers and instead build safe pathways for Africans and Asians who risk their lives heading to the continent to find a job. “We have to look at immigration not as a threat but – when well-managed, and that is our new task – as an enrichment and as an inescapable phenomenon of today’s world,” he will say. He will suggest the word immigration should be dropped in favour of “mobility”. Germany, Italy and Hungary, with their ageing populations, are most in need of immigrants. The reforms could lead to a more than doubling of the EU’s foreign-born population by 2030.[…]

I guess that in the great humanitarian mind of EU’s Justice and Security Commissioner Franco Frattini, the only way to solve a problem is to aggravate it! Such idiocy stems from arrogance, the elitist arrogance of Socialists who still persist in appeasing, appeasing, appeasing. Somehow they are so enamored of their bankrupt, disproved ideas that they believe that once these IslamoFascists experience enlightened Europe, they will change their ways and quickly integrate. It hasn’t happened, it will not happen!

These European Union politicians seem to ascribe to their followers a code of conduct as that exemplified by the Age of Chivalry in Medieval times, but without the religious or the honor aspect. It hardly worked then, the Arthurian legends notwithstanding, It is even more unlikely to work now especially with people who despise the West, with people to whom nothing is sacred as long as a despicable maneuver furthers their goal. But… this arrogant socialist elitism running the EU is blindly leading Europe and the West towards a bloody war whose outcome is dreadfully uncertain…

Amateur Experts or Professional Fools?

Sometimes I feel as if I must be one of the few people left in America who is not a military expert.

For example, all sorts of politicians have been talking about all sorts of ways we ought to “redeploy” our troops. The closest I ever came to deploying troops was marching a company of Marines to the mess hall for chow.

But people who have never even put on a uniform are confident that they know how our troops should be redeployed. Maybe this is one of the fruits of the “self-esteem” that is taught in our schools instead of education.

The biggest flurry of amateur military pronouncements occurred just before General David Petraeus testified before Congress on the situation in Iraq. Many Democrats publicly dismissed what he said before he said it, and some implied that he was a liar before he opened his mouth.

The real problem is that many Democrats have bet the rent money on an American defeat in Iraq, and without that defeat they could find themselves in big trouble in the 2008 elections.

Politically, the Democrats are caught between Iraq and a hard place. Their left-wing base has been angrily pressing them to cut off financial support for the war in Iraq but Congressional Democrats dare not outrage the rest of the country by doing that.

Leaders of the Democrats in Congress have already tried various ways of sabotaging the war effort, with arbitrary timetables for withdrawal and financing the war for only short periods, so that President Bush would be forced to pull out American troops and could then be blamed for the defeat.

But that hasn’t worked either because not enough Democrats in Congress are willing to risk political suicide by obstructing the military in ways too blatant to pass muster with the public.

Regardless of one’s feelings about the righteousness or ilegality of the current Iraq War, the fact remains that once we are already fighting it we must succeed for the sake of the Iraqis themselves, for the sake of the Middle East as a whole, for the sake of world peace and for America’s sake. Any idiot, who even attempts to use whatever grey matter resides in his/her cranium, knows that you do not announce to the enemy the date when you plan to stop fighting regardless of consequences. War, like any fight, depends on the element of surprise if the enemy is to be vanquished. What then does the current debate suggest that the Democrats want? It is certainly obvious by now, their greatest dread is a for the US to succeed in propping up the Iraqi national forces to allow them to take over. Were such success visible, it would be the death knell of the Democrat Party, their hopes would be dashed for 2008 and far beyond.

The next best thing politically for the Democrats is to say that the situation is hopeless. The last thing they need to hear is that there is now some progress in Iraq.

Not only is General Petraeus reporting progress, so have a couple of Brookings Institution scholars who have studied the situation in Iraq — and who are liberal Democrats who had worked for Senator Kerry’s presidential campaign in 2004.

Progress does not mean inevitable victory, much less quick victory. Nor is it easy to define what “victory” would mean in the messy circumstances of Iraq.

One of most realistic of all the insightful statements by General Petraeus was that “We are not going to kill our way” out of the problems in Iraq.

There has never been a moment when anyone in Congress, the White House, or the military has ever advocated anything other than getting out when the time is right.

All the arguments, the rhetoric, and the shouting is about when is the time right.

Nobody thinks American troops have to stay in Iraq until the last terrorist is killed or driven out of the country. It is a question of reaching the point where the Iraqis themselves can deal with the terrorist and other problems of their country without American troops.

That is the direction in which the Iraqis seem to be moving already. It is not that we have “won the hearts and minds” of the Iraqi people.

The foreign terrorists — whom our media still insist on calling “insurgents” — have turned both Sunnis and Shi’ites against them with their barbaric attacks on innocent civilians.

You cannot be an “insurgent” in somebody else’s country by killing the people of that country.

Those who warn that Iraq could be “another Vietnam” need to get their history straight about Vietnam. The South Vietnamese government continued to defend itself against military invasion from the north after American troops withdrew.

Only after congressional politicians pulled the rug out from under them by cutting off financial aid, while their enemies were still receiving financial aid from other countries, did South Vietnam fall to the invaders.

Only similar congressional sabotage, in response to similar left-wing supporters, can make Iraq another Vietnam.

The MSM and the interests who pull its leash should have the courage of their convictions and stop the inane platitudes to disguise their real intentions. There was a time when I proudly proclaimed my membership in the Democrat Party, instead today it was taken over by a new breed, a breed who cares little for America, a breed who cares little for the free world, but expends all its effort in trying to perpetuate themselves in power. The personal attacks on General Petraeus are, thus, political in nature. When you can not destroy the other guy’s arguments, you destroy that other guy instead through lies, innuendos and all types of of insinuations which no bearing or relation to the facts.

These politicians are realizing they embraced the wrong cause or, at least, they attacked the war the wrong way, they went too far. They let their fantasies take over their intellect. Now they must choose between keeping their place in Congress or betraying the country. Alas, they chose betrayal!

These politicians are not “amateur experts.” Even an “amateur expert” knows when he/she is pursuing a failing policy. They are opportunists of the worst kind, who just got trapped by their own game. The sheep who blindly support them without the slightest understanding of the circumstances, without looking at the long term consequences of these policies are merely fools, yet brilliantly professional in their idiocy!

An Easier way to Rape Women

I read this story over a week ago about the Saudi Religious Police demanding that the authorities of Medina, one of Islam's holiest cities, build separate sidewalks for women. I didn't bother blogging about it because it was just another instance of Islamic misogyny and it didn't have the same impact as when the same Religious Police beat back those poor schoolgirls into a burning school in Mecca, because they were not wearing headscarves and abayas in March 11, 2002. 15 girls died and 50 were injured as a result of this barbaric, primitive, and savage devotion to a fake religion.

The country's Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (CPVPV), tasked with enforcing Sharia law, believes men and women should not be allowed to mix on the streets of the Islam's second holiest place, where the Prophet Muhammad is buried.

The clerical police, or Mutaween, are authorized to arrest unrelated men and women caught socializing, anyone suspected of being homosexual or a prostitute, and to enforce Islamic dress codes.

The Mutaween enforce Islamic female dress codes, ordering women to wear headscarves and abayas, long black dresses covering the whole body except for face, hands and feet. Women are not allowed to leave their houses without their husbands or immediate male relatives.

Saudi women are also not allowed to ride a bicycle or drive a car, because if the vehicle breaks down, a woman might have to talk to an unknown male.

Jerry Lewis sorry for gay slur

Comedian Jerry Lewis on Tuesday apologized (see video) for using the word "fag" as he broadcast his annual Labor Day Telethon for Muscular Dystrophy which, by the way, raised a record $63.8 million in pledges and contributions.

He made a sincere apology and that settles the matter for me. What does bother me is the reaction of GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation):

Giuliano said GLAAD was requesting a meeting with the comedian, who has done the Labor Day telethon for 42 years.

"We want to sit down with him, help him understand why these words are so hurtful, and give him an opportunity to raise public awareness about the destructive impact of these kinds of anti-gay slurs, even more so in attempted humor," he said in his statement.
