Why Iranians Take Hostages

From Brigitte Gabriel:

Why Iranians Take Hostages
By Alan Caruba

I often fear that the vast ignorance of Americans and others around the world concerning the history of Islam condemns them to be pawns in the hands of the Iranians and other Muslim leaders who reflect why Islam came to be and how it has conducted itself since the death of its founder.

The recent "incident" in which 15 British sailors were taken hostage by the Iranians (and you can substitute any radical Islamic group such as Hamas, Hezbollah, or al Qaeda committing other similar acts) and the subsequent "diplomatic" effort totally ignores the fact that these same Iranians took American diplomats hostage in 1979. Our subsequent failure to mete out a severe military retribution has brought us to the current prospect of a nuclear-armed Iran.

You may have noticed that, every time the United States leaves a war unfinished, we end up having to deal with the same bad people whether they are the North Koreans, the Iranians, or, in the case of Iraq, the return in 2003 after the botched victory in 1991. The only purpose of war is to leave one's enemies utterly without the will to repeat their bad behavior. By contrast, we have excellent relations with Japan and Germany.

It should be noted, too, that the Iranians have shown absolutely no regard for the Geneva Convention, having paraded their hostages on television and forced them to make false statements under threat of death. The loudest voices about the proper adherence to the Convention have, of course, been raised against the United States.

The powerful hold that Islam has on the minds and hearts of Middle Eastern Muslims is deeply rooted in its very beginnings. This "religion" that Mohammed invented had as its purpose a justification for looting other towns and tribes in the name of Allah. Thievery, banditry, the sale of slaves, the imposition of taxes and tribute, were all set in place when in March 623 Muhammed said, "I was ordered to fight all men until they say 'There is no god but Allah.'"

Islam, which translates "submission", is all about war, the division of the booty that results, and the subjugation of those who are conquered. This explains why, alone among the three major monotheistic religions, Islam has produced absolutely nothing that one can call progress.

Centuries later, in November 2001 Osama bin Laden announced "I was ordered to fight the people until they say there is no god but Allah, and his prophet Muhammed." Not a single new idea has issued forth from Islam since its founding.

Islam divides the world between itself and what it calls "the world of war" by which it means all others who are not Muslims. The entire early history of Islam under Muhammed was one of looting and pillage as, one by one, those who responded to his banner, calling him a prophet, realized that there were profits to be had in conquering those around them.

On Mohammed's death, Islam almost immediately divided into warring parties over who would inherit his mantle as caliph. The Sunnis and the Shiites are still fighting one another over that. Islam is one long history of war, treachery and deceit.

In his book, "Islamic Imperialism: A History", Efraim Karsh relates a story of the struggle between the Abbasids and the declining Umayyads, two Muslim dynasties in 883 AD. The leader of the Abbasids, Abul Abbas, called himself "the bloodshedder." Karsh relates:

"In an attempt to prevent any backlash from supporters of the fallen dynasty, the Abbasids embarked on a murderous spree. In Mecca and Medina scores of Umayyads were rounded up and murdered in detention. In the Iraqi garrison town of Wasit the governor laid down his weapons in return for a personal guarantee of safe conduct by the caliph, only to be treacherously murdered. In Palestine, the newly appointed governor of Syria invited a group of eighty prominent Umayyads to a banquet, slaughtered them all, then sat calmly among the corpses to finish his meal."

In the aftermath of the 1991 defeat of the Iraqis who were driven from Kuwait by a coalition led by American forces, Saddam's generals met in Safwan to accept surrender terms. What they got was a promise of U.S. withdrawal and the right to use their helicopters for "transportation." What they did was use those helicopters as gun ships to slaughter thousands of Shiites and Kurds who showed any inclination to resist the further rule of Saddam Hussein. The result of that miscalculation were "no-fly zones" over two thirds of Iraq that were maintained for twelve years until the second invasion in March 2003.

Today, as the U.S. media puts the various battles between Shiites and Sunnis on the front pages, Americans wonder why are these two Muslim groups are blowing up each other's mosques? Why are they murdering each other? Why are Iraq's neighbors, Iran and Syria, maneuvering to secure whatever they can gain from the effort to (1) rid Iraq of the American-led coalition forces and (2) pick up the spoils of a divided and easily conquered Iraqi nation?

An easy reading of Islamic history and a common sense response to today's events tell us that the Iranians will continue to probe for weakness among its enemies, the Americans, the British, the other members of the European Union, and of course, those Gulf nations who will have to confront an nuclear armed Iran if they are permitted to continue. Any failure to respond to their outrages will earn their contempt and further rumblings of war.

"We will continue to export our revolution throughout the world.until the calls 'there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah' are echoed all over the world." Iran's Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in 1979.

Terrorists use Web against 'idiot' Americans

From Brigette Gabriel:

Terrorists use Web against 'idiot' Americans
Fostering anti-war sentiment by posing online as citizens

By Jerome R. Corsi
© 2007 WorldNetDaily.com

Islamic terrorists are engaged in a "media jihad" in which they encourage jihadists to pose online as Americans to foster anti-war sentiment in the U.S.

According to the Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI, a posting on the Al-Mohajroon Islamist website with the username Al-Wathig Billah provides instructions on how to infiltrate popular American Internet forums and use them to distribute jihad films and spread anti-war sentiments.

"Our experience shows that such instructions often yield compliance," Eli Alshech, director of the Jihad and Terrorism Project at MEMRI, told WND.

The instructions direct jihadists to "raid non-political forums and trivia forums which American people favor."

Contributors are encouraged to register as Americans and to use a purely American-sounding username: "Choose an icon that indicates that you are an American, and place it next to your nickname."

As reported by MEMRI, the Al-Mohajroon website instructs media jihad as follows:

"There is no doubt, my brothers, that raiding American forums is among the most important means of obtaining victory in the fierce media war . and of influencing the views of the weak-minded American who pays his taxes so they will go to the infidel American army. This American is an idiot and does not [even] know where Iraq is . [It is therefore] mandatory for every electronic mujad [to engage in this raiding]."

And again:

"Obviously, you should post your contribution . as an American . You should correspond with visitors to this forum, [bringing to their attention] the frustrating situation of their troops in Iraq . You should invent stories about American soldiers you have [allegedly] personally known (as classmates . or members in a club who played baseball and tennis with you) who were drafted to Iraq and then committed suicide while in service by hanging or shooting themselves."

WND asked Alshech how a viewer could identify if particular postings on popular sites such as YouTube, LiveLeak and Google Video were examples of media jihad.

"It is very difficult to identify a specific posting as media jihad," Alshech said. "One should know a forum very well and pay attention to writing and posting patterns.

Alshech referred WND to an Islamic website that posted anti-war images of U.S. troops in Iraq as well as at least one example of a media jihad clip produced for Google Video.

Alshech said one of the most effective ways to counter media jihad is to press the government to urge forum administrators to follow closely suspect postings "to make sure jihadists do not exploit the freedom of speech so valued in democratic countries."

Alshech advised WND that fighting media jihad requires playing an activist role.

"It is also important to urge forum members to follow up some of the more suspicious postings in order to expose lies," Alshech said. "This will make other members skeptical about the postings."

A few months ago, for example, jihadists posted a video message showing a military ID of one soldier they claimed was killed in Iraq, he said.

U.S. bloggers, however, followed up the story and discovered the soldier was alive - he suffered identity theft in Iraq, but he had not lost his life.

YouTube, LiveLeak, and Google Video did not respond to WND requests to comment on this story.

Thanks Brigette for pointing out this story. We at JDJ are here to counter act this trend. Our "propaganda" is truth and right... Thiers is death and misery disguised and righteousness and religion. Keep up the good work anti-jihad bloggers!

Muslims move to disrupt Brigitte Gabriel's appearance in Detroit

Walid Shoebat and Brigette Gabriel on Glenn Beck

From Brigette Gabriel:

I am scheduled to speak at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor (Detroit) [this] evening. Emails have gone out to the Arab students urging them to come to the event and "disrupt" it. It actually urges "all Muslim brothers and sisters to do what they need to do to disrupt this event."

Last week Tom Tancredo's talk at Michigan State University Law School was disrupted and he was attacked. The same kind of disruption happened at Columbia when the Minuteman Project came and mayhem ensued. We are expecting the same thing tomorrow at Ann Arbor against me. This has become a pattern to silence anyone speaking in defense of America, Israel and our civilization.

I need your help. For those of you who are located in the Michigan area or close to the university please show up and support the lecture. For those of you who are in law enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, FBI, CIA, and Police officers I need your help to protect me and provide security at the lecture as well as accompany me for my different media interviews in Detroit. For those of you who are able and willing to volunteer to provide security, please contact Linda at: 248-508-8545 or email: linda@standwithus.com

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and help.
Brigitte Gabriel

Members of Yahoo's AL-AWDA-News group are urged by anti-gabriel e-mailer michelle@usol.com that "Muslims, Arabs, and their friends and allies should give Gabriel a proper welcome." One only wonders what that means. You should ask her...I did.

If any readers are from the Ann Arbor area, please try your best to go to this event and show your support for a Sharia-free America.

Brigitte Gabriel Answers questions about Radical Islam

h/t HotAir.com and Mary Katharine Ham.

Check out this video!

From Brigitte Gabriel of American Congress for Truth:

Silence of the Sheep

by Yashiko Sagamori

Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.

Manuel II Palaiologos (1350-1425),
the Byzantine emperor

What should have been the appropriate response to Pope Benedict XIV after he recklessly quoted a dead Byzantine emperor?

The appropriate response should have come from the revered Islamic leaders diligently issuing scholarly fatwahs from their quiet offices in the ornate mosques of Mecca and Qum; it should have come from the hushed classrooms of Al-Azhar Islamic University in Cairo where righteous imams teach their students to bravely navigate bottomless oceans of unsurpassed humanism abundant in every Koranic sura, every hadith, every reference to Mohammad's blessed life; from the royal and presidential palaces of budding Muslim democracies that our government lists among allies in our war on their terror.

The appropriate response should have come from the moderate Muslims all over the world, whether they live in their native lands or, for a reason that is still to be explained, became settlers in ours and can now serve as irrefutable proof that Islamic laws and dogmas are not only capable of peacefully coexisting with decadent Western liberties, but also of enhancing and enriching them in a way nothing else can.

The appropriate response should have come from those Jewish and Christian pundits of Islam who insist on drawing the line between the "real" Islam and Islamofascism. It should have come from every Wahhabi-sponsored department of Islamic studies inevitably present at every American university. It should have come from Condoleezza Rice who, on occasion of the last Ramadan, shamelessly praised the "benevolence" which is supposed to be found at the heart of Islam. It should have come from President Bush who, driven by his trademark ignorance and cowardice, once again, this time from the podium of the UN General Assembly, declared that we were not at war with Islam. (The next day, his audience happily cheered Hugo Chaves who called the President of the United States of America a devil and complained about the stench of sulfur he had left behind.)

It should have come from Tony Blair, who, in the wake of 7/7, announced how proud he was of the Islamic community of Great Britain; don't we all deserve to finally learn exactly what he was so proud of? It should have come from Jacques Chirac whose country, under the gentle, deeply enlightening influence of its ever growing populatoin of Muslim settlers, has become even more sophisticatedly cultured than it used to be when the French still owned it.

The appropriate response should have been very simple. It should have listed all those things that are unique to Islam; things that set it apart from Judaism and Christianity, but are neither evil, nor inhumane. And if Islam really is "just another religion", then the list of those things, accumulated since the inception of that "Abrahamic faith" 14 centuries ago, must be long and widely known to both Muslims and us, the infidels.

We would all look through the list of all good things that only Islam could have brought into the world, and rejoice at the marvelous achievements of our turbaned brothers and hermetically veiled sisters. Catholics all over the world would cry in shame for their pontiff and begin mass conversions to Islam. Benedict XVI would, for the last time in the history of the Vatican, appear on his balcony in order to tearfully, a la Jimmy Swaggart, admit urbi et orbi the ridiculous errors of his ways, abdicate St. Peter's throne and live the rest of his life as a humble dervish somewhere in Turkey, formerly known as Byzantium.

That's what should've had happened had Manuel II been wrong in his assessment of Islam. Technically speaking, it would be sufficient to cite just a single example of "what Mohammad brought that was new" and, at the same time, good and humane. No such example has been brought up. Here's a small sampling of what has really happened.

Foreign minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit of Egypt didn't mention anything good or humane that came from Mohammad. Instead, he admonished: "This was a very unfortunate statement and it is a statement that shows that there is a lack of understanding of real Islam."

The Moroccan government didn't mention anything good or humane that came from Muhammad. Instead, it recalled its ambassador to the Vatican.

Sheikh Abubukar Hassan Malin, of the recently established Somalia's Supreme Islamic Courts Council, didn't mention anything good or humane that came from Mohammad. Instead, he urged Muslims "...wherever you are to hunt down the Pope for his barbaric statements as you have pursued Salman Rushdie, the enemy of Allah who offended our religion. Whoever offends our Prophet Mohammed should be killed on the spot by the nearest Muslim. We call on all Islamic communities across the world to take revenge on the baseless critic called the Pope." Inspired by his appeal, Somalis have convincingly demonstrated the goodness and humaneness of their religion by fatally shooting Sister Leonella, a 65-year-old Catholic nun, in the back. The nun died forgiving her murderers, which partially explains why I would never make a good nun.

The parliament and foreign ministry of Afghanistan, a country recently liberated by Christians and Jews from the tyranny of the mullahs, didn't mention anything good or humane that came from Mohammad. Instead, they demanded an apology from the Pope.

The government spokesman of Iraq, another nascent Muslim democracy, didn't mention anything good or humane that came from Mohammad. Instead, he said that "the Pope's remarks reflect his misunderstanding of the principles of Islam and its teachings that call for forgiveness, compassion and mercy." Judging from the growing fervor with which Muslims in Iraq continue murdering each other, Islamic forgiveness, compassion and mercy must be drastically different from what the rest of the world denotes by those terms. In the generally unforgiving, compassionless and merciless Dar al-Islam, Iraq presents the most dramatic example of those exclusively Islamic qualities. Sunnis and Shiites are killing each other with such unsurpassed blood lust that I begin to suspect they mistake their own kind for the children of apes and pigs. If so, someone should explain the difference to them. But on this joyous occasion, they took a brief respite from their daily routine and avenged the Pope's insult by stabbing several Christians to death.

The burning question must be answered: Why hasn't anyone - I mean literally any one - come up with a list of at least some good things Islamic? Why has none of the 1.4 billion Muslims and none of the uncounted millions of their learned appeasers in the West offered us at least a tiny sample of something good and humane brought into the world by Mohammad and his followers in the course of the 14 centuries of incessant genocide that have elapsed since the inception of Islam?

There can be only one answer: Because no such thing exists. During all the centuries of its existence, Islam has miserably failed to produce anything of value to humanity.

Al-Qaeda, in a joint statement with the Mujahideen Shura Council, declared: "...you and the West are doomed as you can see from the defeat in Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya, and elsewhere. ...We will break up the cross, spill the liquor and impose the jizya tax, then the only thing acceptable is a conversion [to Islam] or [being killed by] the sword. ...God enable us to slit their throats, and make their money and descendants the bounty of the Mujahideen."

Kudos to Osama. To the best of my kowledge, this statement constitutes the best, most complete, most concise definition of Islam. As could be expected, this definition caused no objections from those whom it is supposed to hurt the most: the revered Islamic leaders of Mecca and Qum, the Islamic scholars of Al-Azhar University in Cairo, the residents of royal and presidential palaces in Muslim countries assisting us in our war against their terror, the American professors receiving their salaries from Riyadh, the moderate Muslims residing both in the lands that are already Muslim and those that have never been but are turning Muslim right in front of our bewildered eyes, or their Jewish and Christian enablers and appeasers.

The inexplicable, stolid silence of moderate Muslims prompts me to ask once again: What exactly makes us think that moderate Muslims exist? If they do, they must be something akin the mysterious dark matter that no astronomer has ever observed or is seriously hoping to observe, but that is sorely needed to balance the equations that, according to the current state of cosmology, rule the universe. One day, the dark matter will probably disappear from the science's vocabulary, just like phlogiston did when Lavoisier discovered the role of oxygen in the process of combustion, or like the universal æther that was rendered obsolete by the theory of relativity.

What iconoclastic breakthrough is needed for us to finally understand that the division of Muslims into moderate and extremists exists only in our imagination and only because the concept of "evil people" or "evil religion" contradicts everything we believe?

What genius will be able to explain to us that the term Islamofascism is absurd because Islam itself, in its entirety, is a form of fascism? Islam is the ideology of jihad. Take jihad out of Islam and all that's left will be an elaborate set of absolutely meaningless rituals. And when someone tells you that the word jihad means the internal strife of the faithful for spiritual perfection rather than genocide waged by evil savages against the rest of humanity, keep in mind that the title of the world famous classical work on humanism that enjoys ever increasing popularity among the Muslims, Meine Kampf, translates into Arabic as My Jihad.

Will we see a political leader of Einstein's proportions who will emerge in time to remind us that there would have been no victory over Nazism if we had classified the Nazis into a minority of bad, extremist Nazis who had hijacked the perfectly benign political philosophy from the benevolent, but totally undetectable majority of "real", "moderate" Nazis? Why do we need a genius to explain to us that there would have been no victory over Nazism had we allowed Nazis to come to our shores by the millions, settle in our cities, and change the way our children learn history of the world?

As we know today, Emperor Manuel II Palaiologos saw things with an enviable clarity. One of his sons became the last Byzantine emperor before the empire fell, Constantinople became Istanbul, and one of the most spectacular churches ever built became Hagia Sofia, one of the most spectacular churches ever desecrated by the Muslims.
