Ellison encourages Detroit crowd to be Real Muslims
|
Direct from Dearbornistan: Marching orders! Spoken like a true Democrat but with a dangerous twist.
DETROIT — Speaking in Dearborn, Mich., late Sunday night, the first Muslim elected to Congress told a cheering crowd of Muslims they should remain steadfast in their faith and push for justice.
"You can't back down, you can't chicken out, you can't be afraid, you got to have faith in Allah, and you got to stand up and be a real Muslim," Detroit native Keith Ellison said to loud applause.
"Allahu akbar" — God is great — was the reply of many in the crowd.
...if you, and me too, stick together, if we believe in Allah, sallalahu aleyhi wasallam (meaning peace be upon him), if we turn to the Quran for guidance, we'll find an answer to the questions we have.
I've had a few questions that the Quran has already answered. Which makes me wonder, Mr. Ellison, what kind of real Muslim you mean.
Asking a Muslim to push for something is like fighting a fire with gasoline. And I'm starting to smell smoke...
