Norwegians trained by Al-Qaida

Two Norwegians have undergone training by Al-Qaida in Pakistan to become terrorist contacts in Norway, according to Newsweek, quoting a Taliban source.

Together with an Australian and nine from Great Britain, the two Norwegians with Muslim background have reportedly been trained at a camp on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Newsweek's source says he met the 12 recruits in the town of Mir Ali in the region of Northern Waziristan in November 2005.

- Their task is to function as organizers for Al-Qaida in their homeland, the former Taliban intelligence chief says to Newsweek.

Oh Dat's a gude one, ey! I never imagined Norwegian Terrorists. No, wait...they wouldn't just be Norwegian terrorists, they would be Norwegian MUSLIM terrorists. That puts it in better perspective.

Norway is a country of 46,161 Muslims. That is about 1% of its population. With the USA's 9,732,061 Muslims, the odds are that the Newsweek reporter would have encountered 6 or more Americans training in Afghanistan. I have seen NO exclusive interviews with the new Adam Gadahn.

Al-Qaida in Norway. It simply shows that these people want nothing less than the world in their pocket. Uffdah!

Egypt Expels 2 Belgian, 8 French Suspected Terrorists

CAIRO, Dec. 7 -- Authorities expelled two Belgian and eight French suspected terrorists Thursday, but an American and another French citizen remained in Egyptian custody, officials said.

The 12, along with an unknown number of Egyptians and Arabs from other countries, were arrested late last month for allegedly belonging to an Islamic terror cell plotting attacks.

The two Belgian and eight French suspects left Cairo International Airport under tight security on a charter flight for Brussels, an airport official said. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the news media.

The chartered plane flew first to Luxor, in southern Egypt, where it picked up a group of tourists, and then headed to Belgium, the official said.

It was not immediately clear why the authorities chose to put the 10 suspects on a plane carrying tourists.

Authorities have not provided details about the American, the remaining French citizen, the Egyptians and other Arabs still in custody in Egypt and have not released their identities.

This week, the U.S. State Department criticized Egypt for refusing to grant U.S. officials timely access to the arrested American. Egyptian authorities told the United States that no access will be granted until the investigation is completed, a State Department spokesman said.

The interior minister said the suspects were allegedly living in Egypt under the guise of studying Arabic and had formed a militant cell that was plotting attacks.

Security officials said the suspects had a relationship with Omar Abdullah, also known as Omar Hamra, the leader of the Islamic militant group Tawhid and Jihad, who killed himself last month by detonating an explosives belt while trying to cross into Lebanon from Syria. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue.

Isn't it odd that the French will easily work with Americans as long as they are in the same Terror Cell?

Head of Irish government confirms terrorists are in Ireland

Bertie Ahren confirms Jihadist presence in Ireland--

Not that he had much choice in the matter, since RTÉ had already obtained documents dating from 2003, under the US Freedom of Information Act, from the US State Department revealing that "up to six Islamist groups have had cells operating in Ireland." and that the information was based on intelligence gathered by gardaí.

Asked if any "foreign terrorist groups" had a presence in Ireland, the embassy named the Egyptian Islamic Jihad, Al-Gama'at al-Islamiyah, the Algerian Armed Islamic Group, al-Qaeda, and "possibly Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad".

Asked to describe the presence, the embassy said there are "operational support, logistical and financial cells located in Ireland". Asked if there are "any ethnic or religious communities in the country that are sympathetic to these groups", the embassy said yes. Asked if there had been any anti-American demonstrations in Ireland over the previous 12 months, the embassy said yes, and estimated the average size of a protest at between "30 to 300 people".

Meanwhile, the embassy also told the US state department that there were "suspect non-governmental organisations in the country that have a relationship" with some of the groups.

One could have guessed this being so close in proximity to England and France. as one of Slugger's commentors put it "Where there is a Muslim there is a terrorist eh?" Not neccesarily in the same room, but you get the picture.

The Traitor Lynne Stewart Gets 28 MONTHS

Unbelievably, The Traitor Lynne Stewart was sentenced to 28 months in prison as opposed to the 30 years the prosecutors were asking for.

NEW YORK - Civil rights lawyer Lynne Stewart was sentenced Monday to 28 months in prison on a terrorism charge for helping a client who plotted to blow up New York City landmarks communicate with his followers.

Stewart, 67, could have faced up to 30 years in prison. She smiled as the judge announced his decision to send her to prison for less than 2 1/2 years.

Both the Washington Post and the New York Times wrote sympathetic articles about her this morning. No surprise there.

The MSM is portraying her as contrite, although she does not express remorse for her actions against her country, but for how she testified. She says if she had said this or hadn't said that she might not have been convicted. She bemoans that she was not a better lawyer. She's contrite that some of her legal work was faulty.

“I still believe it was justifiable — but perhaps not in the way that I did it,” Ms. Stewart said.

A life-time radical left anti-government activist, The Traitor Lynne Stewart said she didn't think she had to work within the parameters of the law because she felt it was unconstitutional.

All she did was provide material assitance to terrorists plotting against the United States after their first attack on the World Trade Center in 1994. That's all. How was she supposed to know that they would attack the United States again. Yeah, they were plotting and planning to, but how was she to know they really would. Right? Her lawyer said there was no way she could have known they would succeed in an attack like September 11th, 2001. Yeah, right.

The Traitor Lynne Stewart says that people wouldn't have viewed her actions so harshly had it not been for 9/11. If the terrorists she was assisting in their plans to attack the United States, kill Americans and destroy landmarks within America had not been able to succeed with their plans, perhaps she wouldn't have been convicted. In other words, it's all about HER. 2,996 people died that day. Countless others have died or been injured in terror attacks and fighting since that day, and in the Traitor Lynne Stewart's mind, it's all about her.

Today a traitor got a slap on the wrist.

We are doomed.

Here is a reminder of what she did.

Photos Could Prejudice Terror Cell Case

Young men in Melbourne with nothing else to do...

TWO Melbourne men, including one who allegedly promised Osama bin Laden he would commit jihad, will stand trial over terrorism charges.

Shane Kent, 29, of Meadow Heights, and Aimen Joud, 21, of Hoppers Crossing, allegedly produced a propaganda video for al-Qaeda called Such as the Messengers Tested.

Kent also met bin Laden at the Al Farooq training camp in Afghanistan, a committal hearing at the Melbourne Magistrates Court was told today.

"It is the prosecution case that when Mr Kent left Al Farooq he had met bin Laden and that he had pledged in bin Laden's presence to carry out jihad," prosecutor Mark Dean, SC, said.

Both Kent and Joud pleaded not guilty to charges of being members of a terrorist organisation, providing support to al-Qaeda and making an item (the video) connected with a terrorist act.

Meanwhile their lawyers cry foul over photos:

THE photographs show Aimen Joud on holiday in Lebanon. In the first, he poses with an AK-47 assault rifle for an unknown photographer. In the second, he sits on another's shoulders as he brandishes the weapon.

They were taken in 2002, when Joud was about 17, two years before he came under investigation as a member of an alleged terror cell.

A Melbourne court released the two images during a committal hearing yesterday, despite lawyers' protestations that the pictures were irrelevant to the charges against Joud.

"We are talking about a man in battledress with an AK-47 and there is no basis on which they can be tendered (to the court)," said Joud's lawyer, Paul Marin. "These photographs do not have any particular relevance."

He said the images should not form part of the case against Joud, and that a prejudiced person might say that they obviously represented an Islamic terrorist.

No particular relevance?! Well...the camera never lies. My best advice here, boys and girls, is never take a holiday in LEBANON, dress up in battledress, brandish an AK-47, take pictures of it and later get arrested for meeting with and provide support for Al Qaeda. It might just taint the jury.
